Just heard blackie on radio sheff and the way he talking it sounded to me like farewell interview. Quote "I can't thank the fans enough" was one comment.
Am reading too much into it? A caller also said McCabe left the game early..could it have been for a sacking?

"I've got a big facking swan,
A big facking swan,
A big facking swan,
I've got a big facking swan,
A big facking swan and his name is Ron.

Ron is my big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
Ron is my big facking swan,
And I like to shag him with my tracksuit on.

I shag my big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
I shag my big facking swan,
And I kiss his beak all day long.

I kiss my big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
My big facking swan,
I kiss my big facking swan,
As I shag him up the cloaca while I sing this song."

That swan song?

Yes you're reading too much into it. McCabe probably had a plane to catch!

I would imagine that comment is secretly tongue in cheek. He will be well aware of both the justified and vile abuse he is getting at the moment and I can't think of any reason he would want to thank the fans as a whole - unless he's in complete denial about his popularity!

I think he needs to go, ive said it before and I'm still saying it, but I find it disgusting the kind of abuse he gets on here and at games. Making the subject personal with name calling and questioning his integrity is unfair and unnecessary. There are many other ways to put across dissatisfaction, no matter how fed up you are of losing games. It's as if some people think he likes losing games!!!

Blackwell wont walk because he's picking up a salary and his stock isnt high at the moment, which means he's a little less employable currently for other clubs. He won't be pushed until our home form dips and fortunately for him we have been relatively strong at home this season (particularly recently). As long as we keep picking up points at the lane he will keep his job for the time being.

We're just going to have to deal with it
