When we played Peterborough earlier in the season, Mark Cooper's first game in charge, Blackwell was on Radio Sheff to say that he hadn't watched Peterborough, he'd been to watch Kettering instead, so he'd have a good idea of how Posh would play. That of course ignores the fact that Kettering had a new manager by then, who might have changed their style of play anyway.

He's just said that in advance of today's game at Palace, he's been watching the QPR video from January.

In January, I didn't hear him say which team he'd watched before Paul Hart's first game at QPR agaisnt us, but logically, he should have gone to Frattonm Park.

Is he the only manager who prepares by watching anybody but the opposition? It doesn't seem to be working terribly well today......

Blackwell doesnt have any logic. I just hope he isnt there next season or I may be about to waste 300 quid.

According to the Star today Blackwell has said that they had been watching Palace, but have also watched dvds of QPR to assess Paul Hart's managerial style. So yes, I'd say that's logical.

"We've been watching videos of QPR to prepare for Palace," he said. "We'd obviously been watching Palace and we thought we knew pretty much what Neil was going to do because of the players he had available. Then, in the blink of an eye, everything has changed. But rather than completely start again from scratch we decided to watch both teams, because Paul was at Rangers before Neil, and try to find out what the common denominators are. It sounds complicated and a bit confusing but it's thrown-up a few ideas."

I flat out refuse to renew whilst that fat southern wanker is in charge of my club. I love united and he is doing nothing but sapping it out if me. The sooner he goes the better we will be. The guy is clearly clueless, why drop camara? An in form striker against a struggling side, bravo blackwell you fat useless southern shit bag!

Too afraid to lose to go out and grab that first goal. With a tremendous record of not losing when we score first Blackwell should be taking advantage of this! The team sounded like it didn't wake up until the first scoring chance in the 92 minute.
We have lost 6 away games in a row .
47 goals against already, it obviously isn't working.

Blackies the only manager in the country that watches Sky Movies as preparation for all of our matches!

What it is, is too fucking clever by half. Always reactionary. Always with a view to having to stop the opposition which means it is always negative and never, ever, not at all concentrating on and drilling our strengths so our opponents have to worry about us for a change.

All mouth and fucking bicycle clips.

I fully expected a thread entitled "Blackie's Logic" to be empty; not a single word written.

I take it 6 straight away defeats is getting close to a record? Does he think we can get in the play-offs by just winning home games??

The problem is that he's playing the same tactics away as he did, with excellent results, when we had a good and settled defence. The current one isn't up to it yet, and might not be even if it plays together for a bit. But he hasn't chosen to change things to allow for this. After 6 games, maybe the penny will drop soon. I'm not holding my breath, though.

Are we the only club who goes in to each game and changes there tactics because were worried about the way they play. Why can't we go into a game play to our strengths and win the game.

I agree.

Rather than worry about how the opposition play, how about concentrate on how we play? We have nothing to lose away from home, especially as we don't have the most solid of defences at present, so we can't just sit back, defend, and wait for the counter like we've previously done, whilst having a (fairly) strong back line.

I'm not a Blackwell hater, I just wish we'd maintain the style of football we can reproduce (the good stuff - y'know, where we retain possession of the football, preferably on the ground) on a regular basis.
