Just heard a quick interview with Kevin Blackwell on Radio Sheffield. This three minute-ish interview has filled me with more optimism than the previous eight months droning from Robson ever did. Blackwell seems really enthusiastic about hit. He's not even discussed a contract with McCabe, he just wanted to manage the Blades. Good luck to him.

I thought he came across as he has genuinly got a love for the club, saying he felt at home and felt like he'd always become manager.
Obviously things he has to say but netherless good things to hear from the person in charge of your club.

end of the day when he left us for leeds all he did was further his career, its all well and good having loyalty but its his own lively hood he had to look after back then, i mean for example, if you worked for yorkshire bank and HSBC offered you more money and better prospects you wouldn't turn it down! and for christ sake the man has only been back a day and your slagging him off get a grip!

As far as I'm concerned, he's making all the right noises about coming to the Lane. The latest story on the OS quotes him as saying...

The players don't know the team yet, but I can't wait to get started. I get a tingle down my neck when Bramall Lane is rocking and it will be on Sunday, especially after the gesture by the club regarding the free tickets.

In terms of getting "anyone but Robson", at least they've got someone with a bit of experience of the club.
