Sheffield United manager charged with two counts of improper conduct.

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has been charged with two counts of improper conduct.

Blackwell is charged in relation to media comments made after United’s game against Nottingham Forest on 16 February. He has until 19 March to respond to this charge.

Blackwell has also been charged, along with assistant manager Sam Ellis, with improper conduct in relation to language and/or behaviour towards Doping Control Officials at United’s game against Plymouth Argyle.

Blackwell and Ellis have until 18 March to respond.

the two hat ought to be charged wi impersonating a football manager

Wonder what they said to the dopers ?

Yeah thats what I want to know.

We won the game and played well so not sure what would cause them to act "improperly" towards the people that are just doing their job

Without me searching, can anyone give a quick summary of what he said after the Forest game?

Blackwell said at the time: "I can't say what I want to say, the game, in terms of that, is wrong. A manager should be able to come out and say what he wants to say, otherwise I don't see the point of the interviews.

"As managers we cannot speak our minds in press conferences because we get punished by the FA for berating the officials. There were a lot of decisions we didn't get but I have to be careful what I say. The whole crowed was mystified on five or six occasions following decisions … it shouldn't be me talking about the referee, it should be the media.

"The referee [Nigel Miller] has a responsibility to control the game and I think he lost it. It was a big game for both sides, two teams and a crowd full of passion and then there is someone in the middle who doesn't seem to understand it."

There ya go fella. Got to agree about the doping comments on the face of it. Not clever to argue with them when you've got a keeper still suspended for being thick about substances.

Cheers G.

Can't see anything worse there than most managers say every week though.

I can't see owt worthy of a charge, some other managers completely belittle the ref's and get away scott free. The FA need to stop protecting the ref's so much its about time they started doing something about the god awful decisions that have gone on all season through out every league and holding the ref's accountable when they fail to do their job correctly.

Could I put a personal complaint in too ,he was not only useless but completely biased with it ,along with his sidekick on the touchline they completely ruined a game of football which people had paid a lot of money to attend.
Apparently he did exactly the same a few days later at Don Valley.
