Tough for him tonight, first start for us and he didn’t actually look too bad!

His press is absolutely superb, must of closed down Cardiff’s defence and won us the ball on 3 or 4 occasions tonight.

Looks like a neat and tidy player and also very unselfish. Laid it off for Brewster and Oné a few times and they got a shot away. Get him out on loan and see what he can do.

UTB 👏

Everyone of those youngsters need to go on loan , it just shows the massive gulf between u23 football and men's football, now that reserves have been abolished the only option is a loan in order to develop

Was there a gulf at all between the likes of Blacker and Marsh and first teamers like Gilchrist, RND, McCallum, Brooks and Brewster?

If you believe that those kids are ready for top end championship football then fair enough, but if we play them week in week out we aren't making the playoffs

Wilder picked him out as our best player after the game. Probably jumped ahead of a few tonight
He had a decent game don't get me wrong , but if he didn't play for us and was our only signing in the window this place would implode, because he's not first team ready and everyone can see it, not a criticism just an observation

There is a way to ensure they won't become ready for top end Championship football and that is by never using them. Not all of them are going to make it, but during a long seasons there are chances to get youngsters involved. A few minutes here and there when matches are won and starters are knackered.

This has been a poor season for Marsh' development. A couple of cup games (he even scored) at the start, then months of nothing before tonight's patched up mess? A loan move is probably what he should aim for now, as there are players returning and no doubt we're bringing in some more. He's not a player that will fit into any set up though, but hopefully he'll find a club that wants to use him.

Was good from a bad bunch. He is a long way off playing for us. He may never reach the level but should have a decent career I would hope.

As for Brooks when he tried to that fancy touch for absolutely no reason and lost us possession. I just shook my head and thought that’s why he looses his place so quickly in our side.

Looks a prospect, couple of years at least away from first team contention but reminds me of Blaster.

He looks ready to playa part in the first team squad, as is Marsh, but One and Baptiste look way off.
Having said that I thought Norrington Davies was dreadful and Brookes little better.

He can hold his head up high based on tonights performance

However let's not rush in and deem him the next wonderkid after 1 game against a reserve Cardiff team.

Let's see if he can get a decent level loan next season and go from there.

(PS; NEEDS TO BULK UP IN OFF SEASON!)

Funny how people see things so differently. Thought Blacker looked like a kid playing in a man's game, which he is really so not knocking him. Thought Baptiste looked comfortable although not really tested. Marsh is decent technically but I was surprised at how little pace he's got, and he barely touched the ball second half. The senior pros didn't help them out though, none of them came out the game with any credit.

Blacker lost a year through injury so es had som catching up to do! Looks a real prospect.
Marsh is definitely suffering from lack of game time and looked really frustrated tonight.Having missed a good chunk of last season with a broken arm and no game time this season his progress has been stunted.
Looks like he won't get much if any this 2nd half of season so has to go out on loan ! He's desperate to get playing!hope we don't throw away a real talented player.

Class little footballer.
He's stood out to me over the past few months in the 21s.

Good to be able to put some faces to names but they aren't ready yet.
Except for Baptiste , who looked more ready to play a covering role at CB than RND.
Always thought it was a bit of a gamble renewing RND in the summer with the serious injuries and long absence.
He doesn't look to convincing recently , either in fitness or technique.
If he is our first CB sub , we can forget going up.
We need a CB of Souttar quality to come in and be the best CB in the club.
Then you have Robbo as your first sub.
Then it's a question for CW to decide whether Baptiste is good enough as second sub.
Imo , forget RND at CB.
How long is his contract ?

We seem to have a gap in the Academy production line at CB - need to try and find some younguns to develop

2027.. we literally just gave him a new contract as soon as he recovered from his last injury and not having had any significant game time... madness!
If he's under contract until then but he doesn't end up staying long term, we make profit on him as he is from the academy.

Personally I think that him coming back last season made his injury worse as I don't think he'd properly healed from it at the time.

A shame really as he was steadily improving before that injury at Coventry, he was meant to be going to the World Cup with Wales before he got injured. Hope he can get his career back on track, hopefully with us.

I was disappointed seeing Blacker yesterday, with a name like Billy Blacker he should look like a 60’s throw back , an Alf Tupper character , not the suarve looking accomplished footballer he was yesterday. For me he needs to do a bit of boxing get to look tougher. Apart from that thought he played as well as anyone on the pitch and appears he will have a good career in front of him

Baptiste and One look way off but Marsh looks ready? Eh?
