Based off of Sunderland's recent form, I was expecting a comfortable win for Coventry, sets up a very interesting 2nd leg on Tuesday night.

These games are all one-offs. I don’t think you should put too much faith in form guides. Sunderland have basically had playoffs nailed on for a long time. Even if their form was bad, they will have been laser focused on delivering in the playoffs. Much like I think us tossing off the season against Plymouth probably helped us reset. It’s not as neat as the “ended the season badly = poor playoff performance” narrative.
