They ought to look at Ryan Lowe - just bagged two more than billy. Must be worth atleast 15 million

Rowett wants 'young, hungry players', eh?

Where have we heard that before?

Best get cashing in, then we can get even more quality in.

We don't need wasters like Sharp at the club.

I don't think Sharp would want to leave thankfully but he is an obvious target for any club wanting a proven, consistent goalscorer. Which is most clubs.

Just think we could get our money back on him, we should cash in now! :)

He definitely does suggest it. Did you not read the article?

It's shitty journalism, though. Here's another possible version.

Sheffield United have signed Diego Poyet on loan from West Ham. He has potential and could be the supply line for the forwards. But for guaranteed service from midfield, they should be looking at his team mate Dimitri Payet.

See I suggested a player. Snowballs chance in he'll of it happening. No information from the club, no hint of any deal or word from the manager he wants the deal, just a bit of comparison of players of the 'no shit Sherlock' type.

You really think it's impossible that a Championship club like Birmingham would put in a bid for Sharp?

Compared with the other strikers who've regularly scored goals at that level he could be seen as a possible bargain buy for somebody.

Every fucking where; including on here about nine million times. It's just another over used bullshit cliché.

It's even more tiresome than people using "this agricultural division" as an excuse for wanting big, talentless triers in the team.

And more tiresome than:

1. " ... Wilder will bring in 'x' player and 'y' player and we will be a complete team ... "

(he won't, this season's signings have been paid for by the sale of Adams and some wage stealers from last season being sacked. There's no more money)

2. " ... the team needs time to gel ... "

(no it doesn't. They've had a fucking pre-season and friendlies and are fucking professionals at this sport)

3. " ... Wilder picks the team ... "

(yes he does. but that is from a squad still carrying suitcases like Basham, where if the board got their skates on they replace the useless twat with a gifted centre mid who runs the game.)

Its all bollocks. Like last year.

Highly unlikely. Journalistic speculation, with no substance to it. Bit fan like in thought, reminded me of some threads on here when we've signed a player, with suggestions we should have signed his team mate.

I am just chuckling imagining the nuclear explosion on here if Sharp was sold.

It would signal the true intent of our co owners if this was to come to pass.

Why? Sharps a decent goalscorer but nothing special and I'm sure that if Done was given the same opportunities he would be just as prolific. Sharp's current form is woeful and when he's not scoring he contributes little. If we were able to get good money for him thereby also releasing our second highest earner from the payroll then it would be a result.

I thought Sharps hold-up play was very good last night, he didn't get much in the way of chances but linked the midfield and attack well in the first half.

Even sharp's getting stick after 2 games. Kinell give it a rest without him last season we would all probably be watching league 2 football ffs

And if we'd played Done in his rightful position instead of him we may be watching championship football. Who knows? Both sides of the argument are hypothetical.
