By my reckoning, only two United players have scored in the FA Cup for us in 3 different decades:

Jimmy Hagan -1930s, 1940s, 1950s
Billy Sharp - 2000s, 2010s, 2020s

Pretty exclusive club.

Billy can do the same in the league cup if he scores next season, which would be unique.

May need John Garrett for this one. Ernest “Nudger” Needham nearly played 4 decades but actually only played 2 decades.... or did he?! He started in 1891 and finished in the 1909/10 season although he played only 4 times in the 1909/10 season. Was one of these appearances in 1910?

Revolution s OP is about scoring in the FA Cup in three decades, not just playing.

Edit
Is there enough light in the hole to read this?
:)

Sean Thornton I’d like an answer for this though. They were a bunch of characters back then from stories I’ve read and also our most successful team but unfortunately those that remember them playing have been dead decades themselves !

Needhams last League appearance was in January 1910 so he did make 3 decades.
