Biggest frustration with us....

My biggest frustration with us right now is, in my time being a Blade we have rarely had it this good.
And STILL our fans are not packing the Lane each week. I know there are the excuses of cost, sky games, absurd KO times etc, but really our Blades supporters need to get up off their arses, get down to BDTBL and get us a 28,000/29,000+ home gate for each of our remaining games …. we CAN do this and there will be days where the lads need that extra push from the stands. its only a few more weeks so its time to make an effort...

After years of misery finally we are UNITED , the fans, the management team, the players, FFS our armchair fans need to get down there and put a shift in too !

Chris Wilder is a living icon, if we did but know it. The fact he is one of us is unbelievable. I often think of Notts Forest and Clough / Taylor.....when you get that certain magic happening, massive funds aren't always the answer. Human spirit is something much more powerful

It's not that they're not packing the Lane each week, it's the ones who do turn up not bothering to make any noise and support the team vocally - at least if we're not winning or the referee does nothing controversial.

It's an incredible time for the club and the Kop should be rocking from start to finish, but it's so far from doing so it's painful.

All well and good making remarks about attendances - I’ve booked my mate a ticket to sit next to me in the South v Rotherham - £35!

It’s fucking expensive and that is why our attendances - which are excellent - aren’t as large as they could be.

i am constantly buggering off home from work for these 245pm EST matches on ESPN. They love United over here on telly!

think how frustrating it is living over here and not being to go to all these games--hence why i am imploring all the Blades to go and ENJOY THIS RIDE... i remember the days of the 1980's where if we got 12,000 it was a decent crowd under McEwan etc

We are living in an increasingly connected, shrinking world with global communications becoming more sophisticated by the day. I reckon we should embrace the access we now get to follow the team rather than slam it. I get more angry about football eating itself with hyper-inflated egos, salaries and and elitism that means, for me, the Premiership is not the golden land it once was , more of a morally bankrupt wasteland. I am just loving this season playing against proper clubs with proper fans and I simply can’t get to all the games (400 mile round trip!). Believe me, I have served my time shivering on the terraces of Hartlepool and the Hockey Stadium at MK Dons. Whether it’s ifollow or Sky or whatever I’m dependent on it as a footballing lifeline to keep up with this fabulous team. I think the Blades’ support is and always has been amazing through some of the worst footballing times (I was there for the Don Givens penalty, the Boxing Day massacre, the last minute goal thatbsent us down against Chelsea etc). If it’s any consolation I am ‘off my arse’ most of the time dancing round the living room! Support comes in many guises, let’s just celebrate actually, virtually, televisually or whatever way we choose. We are still united as a fan base, It’s a great time to be a Blade - share the love!

The casual fan is spoilt for choice these days and they don't mind handing over a small fortune for a gig or a festival. Sort the kop out (where most of the empty seats are) and give the fan a bit of a treat instead of expecting them to sit in facilities more suited to the 1960s.

Oh and someone have a word with SYP not to put off prospective fans by treating them all as potential murderers.

The days of waking up on Saturday morning and deciding to take the kids to a football match are finished

If you're not a season ticket holder and not in the system it is more difficult to attend

The more casual fan that would boost our attendance from around 26,000 to around 30,000 just can't be arsed with it all

The reason they can't be arsed is because they are casual fans.

Not been many 40k gates in my time for me to get misty eyed over. Neither were the Hagan years at 18k average. Quite a bit higher. Just Two below 18k for the Woodward/Currie years. After that and up to 2004 yes.

With iFollow's popularity the club really shouldn't be making it more difficult for fans to buy tickets.

They should set up matchday ticket offices on different sides of the ground. It's poor that there's only one area to buy tickets.

60000 at the Lane to watch the Blades totally outplay the Wendies in the FA cup 6th round yet lose 2-0 to breakaway goals from Derek Wilkinson. Didn't get too misty-eyed about big attendances because generally League games were not particularly well-attended by our standards today. A derby match might attract 45000, but 16000/18000 was about the norm, even when TC was doing his magic.

I'm pleased to hear that because from what we hear it is difficult to get a match day ticket unless you are a season ticket holder or a member, it didn't make sense mind not making it easy for the casual fan to attend

But there are plenty that still live in the dark ages in Sheffield, especially in the United strongholds

Jumped on the train to Rotherham, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Notts County, Lincoln and many others with 30 minutes warning when a couple of other mates decided to go

Jumped in the car at the last minute and travelled on no end of occasions when we'd finally got a car full
