State of this for fuck's sake

Only team not mentioned by name and we thumped Villa. Even managed to get "Frank Lampard's Derby County" in. When's that name becoming official?

For what it's worth, I complained to the BBC, basically said it was a joke that the match report hardly described the match and the winning managers comments were an after thought crammed at the bottom because they distracted from the story of Aston Villa.

I received the following.

"Thank you for getting in touch regarding the BBC Sport website.

I understand you feel that in the report on the Sheffield United v Aston Villa match we concentrated too much on the performance of Villa and not enough on the United team who won the match 4.1.

We know that not everyone will agree with our choices on which stories to cover, and the prominence that we give to them. These decisions are made by our news editors, taking into consideration the editorial merit of the stories, and we accept that not everyone will think that we are correct every time.

These decisions are always judgement calls rather than an exact science, but we appreciate the feedback that our readers give us when they feel aspects of a match report have been overlooked or marginalised.

Please be assured and I have included your comments on our 'Audience Feedback Report' which will be read by sport editors and senior managers across the BBC.

Thank you again for contacting the BBC."

So basically "we don't give a shit but we've printed your complaint out and will be sure to bin it in our Monday meeting".

Once we got the third the ref seemed to change his attitude, I joked to my mate that he must have had 2-1 on his coupon.

Not too dissimilar to Coadys dismissal involving Leon against Wolves last season. The ref knew if he gave the foul it had to be red. Gutless ref who pampered to the big boys so often it was embarrassing
With hindsight I'm glad it wasn't given, would have sullied the achievement and been the talking point for those wishing to detract from our performance.

It's good that the media are focussing on Lampard's Derby or Bielsa's Leeds or the teams down from the Prem or big spending Forest or even cuddly underdogs Brentford.
Leave them to it and let's stay off the radar and get on with trying to continue to play good football and seeing where it takes us.

I thought the ref was very poor but I did think second half it was as though someone had said to him "you know that grealish is conning you?" at half time as he didn't seem to fall for as many dives in the second half. That Lundstram tackle had it been in the first half would have been a booking yet he ignored it

This report is a fucking joke.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45304576

We get a paragraph at the bottom. Villa this, Bruce that. As though it was entirely a mistake on their part and not due to the fact that we played some of the best football you could ever wish to see.

Not even a picture of a goal or us celebrating. Absolute bastards, I'd complain but it means shit all.

At least Sky have this picture on their report, correctly titled "rampant Blades demolish Villa"

How the fuck does a team get annihilated 4-1 and get 61% possession ??
