If the Blades don't add some QUALITY to the squad before the window closes.
 



Bout time we saw some QUALITY posts rather than the same old?
 
nearly 10k of them! celebrating soon then?
 
we have needed quality in midfield for along time. Thing is, most prem teams need that too and they have more money to throw around.
 
...of course we could blow the entire budget on some quality, like err, Oooo remember Wim Jonk?


No guarantees in this game. Except what happened to the grunters after a few signings like that

and don't the prices in January go up.............cause folks know yer desperate.

The Blades still need some QUALITY adding to the squad............still confident Blackie/McCabe will sort it before the window closes but gutted if they don't.
 
The only quality we need is someone better than we have, probably in the 3 million pound range (or more). Once we get to that level we are competing with Premiership teams who can easily drop an extra few pounds if needed. We have a good quality squad right now so I do not want to see Blackwell spending money just to keep the whiners happy - they can always watch Man U if they require a multimillion pound player in every position. We already have several players who would command starting roles in other Championship teams but are getting no games with us, adding more to that mix makes absolutely no sense.

30 bob would buy a better player than some of em turned in against Huddersfield never mind £3million.

Any one who thinks the Blades don't need to add some QUALITY to the squad is living in 'cuckoo land' in my opinion.

aye and a lot more who wouldn't get a game wi Beighton Magpies.

Who do you think we should sign then?
 
No matter who we sign we can always do better, until we have a midfield of Kaka, Ronaldo, Billy Dane and Hot-Shot Hamish. With McMutton.:D
So saying we need better quality without specifying who, in your opinion, we should sign is like going into a restaurant, telling them you are hungry and not telling them what you'd like to eat. Just as the lovely waitress and scowling sweary chef would love sir to be a little more specific, so would we.

And I picked Hot-Shot Hamish first, so hands off.

and Owd Chrome Dome is just who the Blades need in midfield, our Gert on the wing.............were sorted.

You've heard all the players mentioned and know the positions where the Blades are weak the same as me.

Anyway i have faith in Blackie and McCabe, windows not shut yet !

If you're like this "in the real world" how do you not get punched ALL THE TIME?

As well as a cup game, Huddersfield was three things:
1) A chance for some fringe players to get some minutes on the pitch
2) A chance for a couple of recently recovered players to stretch their legs
3) An experiment to see how flexible certain players were in different positions

As well as winning the game I'd say everything which Blackie wanted to achieve was achieved.

Also, about a multi-million pound signing who you want in before the window closes. How does James Beattie sound? Or have you forgotten that we're looking like a very very strong prospect for promotion and we haven't even got our star man playing yet?

I'll take that bet, by the way. Even if it's just an opportunity to put a face to a name. Call it morbid curiosity.

As for the bet, £100 even money no QUALITY signing before this transfer window shuts = no promotion.
