Second half he didn't take all of their crosses cleanly, but almost at the second attempt, so there were a couple of heart in mouth moments.

What I eventually worked out was that those apparent fumbles were in fact a very subtle time wasting measure, eating up valuable milliseconds to help preserve our lead :)

I commented to some friends I was watching the game with that he has been to the premier league school of time wasting. Did an excellent job of killing time.

He seems to have a good mix of confidence and awareness that meant that he was alert each time to where the ball was if he didn't take it cleanly first time, which given several involved him covering a fair bit of ground wasn't as simple as it might have been. That's key in deciding whether those are problematic fumbles or ones that are easily mitigated.

Really good keeper - always looks unruffled. And has done everything asked of him so far.
Moore might find it hard to make his way back into the side once he's fit.

Made me laugh when he calmly just pinged it out of play from a goal kick under no pressure - just shrugs and carried on.

I don't think he's a really good keeper. I think he is a bit suspect, he's just too laid back and indecisive at times, and his kicking is simply awful. However, he had a very good game last night with regards to plucking high crosses out of the air. He got every one, although he needed to have two goes at it usually, and deserves a big pat on the back for that. If he can improve in terms of his decision making and kicking then he could be a very good keeper in the future, and I guess that's one reason why he's here.

This kid gets better with each game.

We should nickname him "Bruce" after Grobbelar.

Must have come out 14 or 15 yards to one last night.

Great pair of hands - ok, a couple slipped but he has soft hands and he seemed in perfect control to re-gather.

HE DOESN'T shirk coming for a ball in crowded area and WANTS to catch it, even on a horrible wet night as against punch it.

Moore is going to have a big job getting the gloves off him.

His best game in a Blades shirt so far. Commanding and came out and caught everything, and a top draw reflex save to keep us in the lead. Clean sheet perfect team performance what more can we ask for UTB

Got a song for him. To the tune of the old batman theme.

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Blackman!

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Blackman!

Blackman! Blackman! Blackman! 1, 2, 3, 4

Na Na Na Na Na Na....

Repeat for 45 minutes

I wonder how much of that is just the appearance of how he plays - He looks languid and laid back.

But imo he has done very well for us and other than his kicking I can't really think of much he's done wrong certainly in terms of decision making - remember he's only young and playing at this level for the first time.

Couple of exception 1v1 saves too where there looked to be a certain goal - can't teach that.

Agree, he also looks slow and indecisive BUT it's probably his style.

I also agree that he's far from the finished article BUT I believe he has massive potential to be a top keeper.

I reckon a big factor which he needs coaching on, is being more vocal and coming off his line.
He's exceptionally tall and generally deals with corners well but if he can perfect coming off his line then he'll save us some goals.

The fact he's a 6''5 English keeper leads me to believe he'll be Chelsea's reserve keeper for the rest of his days.

Helps to make up the homegrown numbers. And that's the problem with modern day football and the England team.
Too many big sides are giving kids stupid money to stay happy and sit on their bench and make the numbers up rather than go out and make a name for themselves. And this is all because of the stupid homegrown rule the FA implemented that has done absolutely f**k all to aid the development of our top level youngsters, it's just made the best teams stockpile them and 'keep them around' for the sake of it.

He's got all the tools to become a Premier League goalkeeper with first team football and the right training. I hope he doesn't settle for Chelsea's third keeper, he could be so much better than that.

Reverse. Google. It. It's from Nikki Beach, In Miami, that's there the photo is from and taken. Not difficult.

Although if you want to keep using fake photos to show off how glorious it is where you are, go ahead :)

According to the boss hes happy with Blackman and Moore will have to wait for his chance

that's an interesting point as we discussed the very thing after the Bolton game midweek.

He looked sound on Tuesday - a couple slipped out with the wet ball, but he recovered well and for someone who wants to take charge of a crowded penalty area on a shitty wet evening on an away ground with a set of tall, uncompromising Bolton players including that twat Madine then Blackman deserves a lot of credit.

Grobbelar was the last GK I saw who comes out beyond the penalty spot and nails catches.

The kid is doing well, is gaining in confidence all the time and long may it continue.

Interesting question. How many of the goals that we've conceded so far do you think Moore would've saved?

I suppose the other side of that is how many of the saves Blackman has made would Moore have not also saved?
