Six Months in to the job, and can anyone please tell what Dick Batho has done that is off benefit to the supporters.

It seems like everything the club is doing is pissing the supporters off at the minute, and Dick Batho is presiding over all this.

Still at least he has got his snout in the club trough now.

Can you tell me about one single improvement that has been made since he took power as supporter liason officer or whatever brown nosing job he is doing this week.

The guy is an utter clot on the club.

He's done absolutely nothing to improve the relationship between the club and the fans (which is what he's getting paid, some people on here will back him, but wont give reasons as to why they choose to do that. I spoke with the bloke about season tickets and pricing structures for next season and his reply to me about it was "if your not buying a season ticket then thats a shame, but the club wont be doing any sort reduced prices or schemes for you and you will miss out as a result" - no solution or even positive ideas about the club, all he does when you speak to him is tow the party line, the man has no authority at the club, he cant make decisions or changes he is in a completely pointless position and getting paid to do it. People wanted wilson out, lets get batho out first!

Brownie that's a despicable thing to say How dare you question the man who was the voice of the true fan :nana: Batho, before he became an employee of the club, was always available and he never shied away from telling the powers that be what we the fans were saying. He was a rock, an absolute shining light for the fans and best of all, we were never kept in the dark about just how much he put our voice forward. A true man amongst men, there's a tear in my eye at the thought of just how much this man did for common folk such as you and I........................or maybe I'm wrong and he did fuck all :thumbdown::easy::thumbdown:

Lenners was right about most things, just the way the ladies on here used to get upset about it. Strange how they call him patronizing, belittling and a whole host of other derogatory names just to hide the fact that they couldn't argue with the same eloquence that he could. I never understood why he was needed in the first place.

His appointment just proved how bad the relationship is between the club and its fans when someone is needed to act as a go between. Fans on here have e-mailed the club or written to them a number of times to voice their view, some show up in the car park, some ring into radio Sheffield or vote in the polls on his forum etc. Why do we need a man to talk to the club on our behalf?

Think the problem stems back to the time not so long ago when he wasn't an employee. When he was supposed to be a voice for the fans. No one really knew what he was saying on our behalf, and his feedback was pitiful.

Well I dont agree with the personal abuse directed at him but I see his role at the club as pointless at the moment.

Can I please remind people that personal abuse isn't allowed here, regardless of whether or not the individual is a member of the forum.

In terms of the topic at hand, I can only go on what I've experienced from any personal dealings, which I always feel is much fairer than blindly taking a pop at someone.

At the present time, Richard Batho is Communications Manager at the lane, so therefore any vitriol aimed at him specifically on the Membership Scheme is falling at the wrong door anyway. The role he had previously has indeed changed.

On fans communications issues, in my opinion there was and still is a lot of work that needs to be done in order to improve this.

I've personally seen an improvement in this area in recent times and know there are a number of things ongoing in terms of attempting to improve this in this long term.

There is a long way to go and it's reach needs to be far and wide, but in my opinion there have certainly been changes for the better.
