I just love how completely different all our CBs are.

The reading of the game and calmness of Egan.

The industry, power and use of the ball from O’Connell.

And the OH MY GOD WHAT IS HE DOING THE MANIAC, HE JUST DROPPED IT OVER THE DEFENDERS HEAD AND VOLLEYED IT TOWARDS THE TOP CORNER of Basham. He’s fucking mint and I love him to bits.
 
If you had told me in 2015, that Chris Basham would go on to be a blades legend, not a cult hero, but a blades legend, I would have had you sectioned

But if I'm still around in 20 years time I'll be telling my grand kids about him

That's the biggest compliment I can pay him

The other thing I would say is everyone wants mcgoldrick to get that goal, but bash is the one player I really want to find the net
 
I remember years ago aurguing with a certain Tyler Durden about Bash and I took dogs abuse from him and all his minions. Well who's laughing now. Chris I think you deserve every accolade that comes your way. LEGEND.

I was the original one and only Basham Fan club member.
The Guy is awesome and a true Blades legend, should definitely be up there with the best Blades Legends.
 
I thought all the 3 centre backs were superb. The amount of times they 'stepped into' the play to make telling interceptions and well timed challenges. Bash just seems to get better and better, that thing he does, where he gets the ball and just drives forward 5 or 10 yards, effectively beating a man and putting us back on the front foot is almost like his trademark. I said to the bloke who sits next to me today that statistically, in terms of areas of the pitch and touches, Bash must be the most attacking centre back in the league. That flick over the defender in the box too....

That performance by Bash was as good as i've seen from him. Quality player having the time of his life
 
Bash has gone from that marauding Bambi on ice CB where you cringed a little when he went forwards as, if we're all honest, he did look like a new born foal TO Lionel Messi.

The best thing about it is you can tell he's got his head down and worked so hard on it off the pitch to keep his place in the Prem. All credit to him.
 



The whole back 5 are having a fabulous season, amazing to see how they have stepped up and improved over the last two years
This year it could be anyone of about 8 players who could be player of the season, Bash included
 
Picking a player of the seasons gonna be impossible this season. Love Bash
 
Yes he is one of my favorite players awesome, we need to thank the best manager the clubs ever had for bringing him to our club ...........

I would give him an assist if I could for Sharp’s goal yesterday. Lundstram had the ball with not a lot on. Suddenly Basham overlapped outside him running down the wing. The Norwich player in front of Lundstram half went with Basham leaving Lundstram an extra bit of space to allow the cross. The rest is history.

Yet another great performance by Bash yesterday, my man of the match. I remember arguing with my dad about him when he first came that he would come good, yes his Bambi on ice impression was spot on but there was just something about him even back then that shone through. So pleased for him, he fully deserves being a Blades legend for me.
 
How many teams have two quality centre backs, who would be quite comfortable and effective slotting into midfield?
Skill, strength, passion and technical ability. Wider grows some great players.
 
Billy was talking yesterday about how when Lundstram puts his foot on top of the ball and rolls it in front of him, he knows he’s about to whip it in.

I doubt I’m alone in this but I think I’ve developed a sixth sense of knowing when Bash is about to do his change of pace and take it past whichever midfielder/attacker is lining him up. It’s a thing of beauty because nine times out of ten we all know he’s doing it, but he never gets stopped. Swanned past Cantwell with ease yesterday.

I need to fess up and admit to my error. In the Championship, I struggled to see how we would progress without upgrading Bash. Made me nervous as there was often a free kick to be given away.

I have well and truly shut-the-up-fucked on that front.

Great work Bash.
 
Out of all our squad I think Bash is the one that would still run through a brick wall for us even if he was on £300 a week! Absolutely love the bloke for what he’s done for us.
