Hilltop Blade 4 life

If you'd asked me last night how i felt about the blades atthe moment i'd have said i can't be arsed, we're playing shit with a shit manager and theres no chance of promotion. for some reason though i feel slightly totally different this morning. Having looked at the table we're only 6 points off the play-offs despite playing relatively shocking football all season. We're also being a little unlucky at the moment and despite our play not setting the world alight, we deserved the win yesterday on chances we had, and how that wasn't a penalty still confuses me especially if the goal was ruled out for the same offence. Against Hull there was a foul on us in the build up to them winning the penalty and we had shots cleared off the line and created the best of the chances. We are starting to look much stronger defensively and only conceding 1 goal in 3 games isn't bad, and that 1 goal was a penalty. If we manage to get the ball into players like Beattie we also look like scoring regularly and that is what we should concentrate on first, getting balls into the strikers and starting to score 2 or 3 goals a game again, then we can start to concentrate on our woeful midfield and getting the best out of players like Tonge who has proven before that he is god enough. For me instilling a bit of cofidence in our existing midfield is more important than getting a new plaer in,after all it's the same midfield that got us promoted last time, except we've lost ifill and gained carney. the constant talk of new midfield signings, and Robson saying things like the players i've got here aren't as good as i thought they were must be absolutely demoralising for the players and must destroy the confidence and team spirit that we've always had over the last 7 years or so. however i am now actualy looking forwards to Ipswich and am optimistic of a win, although i don't anticipate a good performance and in a couple of wins time we might finally be in the good half of the table, looking at mounting that promotion challenge that most people seem to have forgotten about and think impossible.
