Heads held high. In a relegation scrap early autumn. Took it to the wire in the playoffs. No shame in that defeat. Proud of United tonight and this season. Up the Blades

Over two legs it was pretty much even.

They were clearly better first leg and should have scored more. We were clearly better second leg and should have scored more.

Over two legs it was pretty much even.

Tonight we were the better side, Saturday they were miles in front of us in terms of play so you could say they shaded it over the two legs. That being said we should have won it tonight, keeper sent them through.

We stifled them, schooled them and outplayed them. Easily the better side. The lack of depth showed in the end.

Probably about right it was settled on penalties. A game of two legs in which both keepers kept their teams in the game.

Unfortunately we cant take penalties.

So disappointing. To lose on pens, having got so close, is typically SUFC, but all credit to the boys for almost pulling off what appeared to be mission impossible.

Poor effort in the 1st game cost us along with terrible pens if only Sharp was on the bench to come on and take the vital 1st shot.
2nd leg we were magnificent, what heroics to get the 1-2 win and force ET.. A shame to see the talent of Berge and MGW leave. A fresh clean out of the midfield is needed they are too slow and can not take a man on.
