1980 because that's when I started going regularly and you've got to draw the line somewhere.
I've not included loan players or those that only played a handful of games...
Who do you reckon and why?

Ability wise, it is McCall. Paul Rogers did a good few years of solid service in there as well, always liked him.

I voted for Ooh-Aah though, just because.

McCall probably edges it for me. I liked Mark Patterson in that role and Oooh-Aaah always gave 100%. The one that really would've stood out if he'd stayed longer was Martin Kuhl.

What about Vinnie Jones? Whilst not pretty, he actually did a job in 90/91.

Booker - difficult to describe his qualities beyond being the bloke who epitomised the effort and spirit we had in successive promotion years and then beating relegation after being written off before Xmas.

Certainly not a footballing genius, probably not even that great a tackler. He did weigh in with some useful goals at set-pieces though. The game against Southampton at the Lane when he scored two is still one of my happiest non-big-games.

If I was picking a side he wouldn't get in it. But as he's my favorite he's more than welcome!

McCall. It's the least I've had to think about one of these, that's for damn sure!

I don't want a one dimensional midfielder who needs a special job description to disguise an inability to play football.

That rules out at least one of the above...
