It was such a fantastic sight to walk to my seat, look out to the pitch to see the players not just warming up - but training - with Blackie! The team manager, out on the field before a match, training with his team! How often do you see that? FANTASTIC

Then after the teams have come out on the field, all the paps were waiting for Blackie to emerge from the tunnel and he came out, fist in the air towards the crowd shouting "COME ON"!!!! - massive enthusiasm.

At the end of the game, he went onto the field of play, applauded the players and the fans, and made sure all the players went out towards the fans to applaud them too - we've not seen that since Neil Warnock left.

Fan-bloody-tastic.

One question - why wasn't Sam Ellis on the bench? He was sat in the stand- why?!

Firstly, great to see passion again. and also good to see him getting involved with the team, telling them what he wants not letting someone else do it.

As for Sam Ellis I'm guessing he was having a more analystical game watching the players how they're playing without being distracted by bench ongoings, and then passing information onto Blackie who would relay it onto the pitch.

Best sight today;

No black cloud of doom over BDTBL

....and a good performance and a smile from Tonge!!

Part of way through second half, at one of quietest times during the half, Blackie turned to his bench and shouted something along the lines of"

"WHAT DO THE FUCKERS WANT"?! Was definitely something with the "effing" in there anyway - was so funny as he shouted it with such passion!

Just love having the passion back, not been as excited about a match for such a long time

Before i begin to give him my good graces, i want to see how he does a couple of times in the league, i do think it was a pretty equil match yesterday, and its good to see we can still match a premiership side

Andy Leeming was on the phone to someone(Sam Ellis?) throughout the game and then kept passing the phone to Blackwell.

Why have those who were disgusted at the thought of Nigel Pearson joining our ranks not kicked up a stink about Sam Ellis? :confused:

;)
