Best no. 33 since 1999

For some reason, this is a shirt often not used and, when it is, used for players who never play. Only three of this lot ever played in the shirt and two were crap. We should have a clear winner here:

Notes on the players:

Smith: wore this shirt in his first season but never played a first team game in it. Wore no. 26 in 00-01 and no. 20 in 01-02

Hamilton: wore this shirt at the start of 00-01 before he was released, but did not play a game in it. Had been 15 in 99-00.

Croissant: wore this shirt in 01-02 and 19 in 02-03 but never played a first team game in either shirt

Haystead: Academy goalie who was on the bench for the cup game v Arsenal in March 05 but never played a first team game.

Annerson: another Academy goalie. Wore this shirt in the PL season and 40 in 05-06 and 07-08. Never got off the bench.

Barry: yet to play a game.

It has to be Ugo, but he was still fairly crap, and highly symbolic of the Robson era.

Still had some quality and went proper mental when he scored.

Ugo. He had the ability to look awful but actually be brilliant.

He looked like he had no control over his legs, but they ended up in the right places too often for it to be accidental!

Arggh = voted for Fortune as I thought it was for worst player. Pls count my vote for Ugo!

I think of the 25 or so games Ugo played for us, United lost very few - perhaps only one or two.
