Actually Darren does not have a single video of that ilk. Why watch when you can do....

He was a Wolves player at the time but after the last game he was on loan at Derby when manager Arthur Cox pleaded with him to sign for Derby but he climbed out of the window to sign for us! I remember reading about it on the next day after he signed for us
Can't really remember the goals..it's one of those games where just the odd thing sticks in my mind, like the queuing up on John Street to get in,and a big buzz in the air from the signings we made..We must have arrived late as the ground was full and I can remember the noise sounded loud on the street..'David Ford' they were chanting..couldn't wait to get in.Do you know I remember that as well. Didn't Woody score from a corner in that game? It was the first time United had done anything radical in the tranfer market other than selling players. As it turned out Ford was a flop. Hope, who displaced Hodgy was great for a (short) while. But Hockey transformed the team, providing the sort of grit, drive and personality that had been missing since Carlin was nicked by Clough snr. It's just a pity we had to lose Tudor.
The first goal wasnt in that YTV video. I remember YTV failed to get a good focus of Woody scoring the first goal because for some reason the camera jerked to the left when Woody was about to touch the low cross from the right. Maybe someone in the tv gantry on the cricket pitch had accidently bumped onto the side of the camera causing the cameraman to lose control of the camera for a second? That will be the reason why the video producer only included the 2nd goal in the video compilationThe goals are on the YTV video, which I have. If anyone can convert it to DVD, let me know!
I was there too. Manor ground was awful but not half as bad as Trevor Hockey's velvet coated car.We played at Oxford on 30th January after we signed Hockey, Hope and Ford. We won 2-1 with both goals coming from Bill Dearden. I was at the match and at the time I thought the Manor ground was the worst I had visited
