Best and worst kit

92-94 and 94-95 are both classics as far as I am concerned. I actually loved most of the 90s kits apart from the Diamond monstrosity.

The 15-16 makes me shiver when I see it.

I'm a fan of quite a few on there, but the one that I've always really liked is the shirt from the 1999/2000 season.

Dont get the problem people have with last seasons shirt.

It was a one off centenary shirt based on our original kit like so many other teams have done. People can moan about the concept if they like (although the club couldn't have been clearer that it was for the 125 years celebrations and not a permanent change of kit or badge) but the shirt certainly wasn't urgly or badly made.

In terms of worst kits the Promotion season 06 one was pretty bad. It was a really odd design. The premiership 07 one was poor as well, seemed like a rushed off after thought and a really odd shape.

Best home kit - this years takes some beating tbh.

Best away kit - away 98 (was too young for the 1990 dayglo one)

I've tried arguing the same point about last seasons kit over and over again. It was a one time thing done in recognition of our history. It wasn't one of my favourites either, but it doesn't deserve the hammering it got.

Personally I loved the old badge and I'd like to see it again from time to time alongside our classically recognised one.

Best- the 73-75 Umbro kit, the 76-77 variant of the Admiral kit, the 81-83 Space Invaders kit (and the Bradford-style away version), the 83-87 Umbro kit, the 90-92 deckchair kit, the 96-97 Wards kit, the 05-06 LCS kit (2" stripes, black shorts and black socks. Not to mention we got promoted to the Prem in it ;)), the 06-07 Capital One kit (enough fucking sed), the 08-09 LCS kit (I own a rare version without the Malta sponsor breaking up the stripes. One time where tinkering with the red and white actually worked), this year's kit.

Worst- the Cantors kit (Sheffield United are NOT Ajax), the 95-96 diamond kit (no comment ), the 99-00 LCS shirt (a good design ruined by that horrible "sponsor"- thanks Wards for going bust during summer ), the 00-02 Midas kit (summat just not reyt about it. The crap games publisher on front? The manufacturer?), 04-05 LCS (RED SHORTS FFS), all of Macron's abortions (Bolton absolutely deserve to play at the Macron Stadium), 15-16 Adidas (too white, released one year too late, shit season).

Meh- the 92-94 Umbro kit. Although this was my first shirt and as such holds sentimental value (loved the felt Laver sponsor- first replica shirt to have the sponsor IIRC), it's too white for me. Not to mention the collar was fiddly as owt and 2 year old me quickly pulled it out :) The 02-04 LCS Desun kit, although worn during the Triple Assault season, is also too white for my liking. And the obvious "anniversary" kit.

Gotta be a 2" striped red and white shirt (black optional), black shorts and black socks for me. This year's kit ticks all the boxes, looks good and is being associated with memries. Best kit we've had for a while.

1996/97 without a shadow of a doubt is the best ever.

Worst is a toss up between 04 and 06

Sorry, Matt. I had a feeling this had probably been done before. At least last season's nasty thing with the red shorts & socks can now be added to the Chamber of Horrors section.

No need to apologise. There's been a few more shirts since then

Completely agree with Matt. 96/97 'Wards' kit is by far the best. Bold, simple and elegant. Only caveat being the shield crest rather than our regular one, but it still looks good.

We should have a rule that we only allow sponsors whose logo is white text on a black background, like wards, capital one or the current one. It works so much better with our colours than anything else.

I quite like the one we played in against bayern Munich and Madrid, oh sorry I've probably lost you there chaps, European football and all that

I liked the one when you finished 2nd in League 1. Or the one you wore when you won the top flight... Oh hang on

92-94 best for me

I didn't totally hate last years, the design was proper smart, it just wasn't a Blades kit. And it's associated with horrific memories. Hated 14-15 even more, never seen such an obtrusive fucking sponsor. Like an iron-on you'd find on an u12 sunday league kit.

Bought a PS4 recently; indefinitely borrowed FIFA 16 off a mate. Can't play it for that reason.
