I can see him removing Norwood from the side quite soon.

Vey different players and Wilder likes a Norwood type to keep the ball moving and setting up our wing backs/ventre half overloads. However I reckon Wilder will be looking for a play maker in January to compete with Ollie.
Lundstram can do the Norwood role and Besic can play the Lundstram role.
Charades probablyBesic will start a game over xmas
Not sure I agree Bruce...I think we got a glimpse of the future when Norwood went off against the Geordies and Lundstram dropped into his position. Lunny has had a great season so far on the right of a midfield 3 but I think his physicality, size, fitness and passing ability is well suited to the number 4 role. We then get a more attacking middy to play the right hand side role. With respect I don't think so mate. Lunny is box to box and often our most forward midfielder, sitting deep and being the play maker didn't suit him before and was probably why he's the surprise of the season so far.
The way Newcastle set up would make it easier to put Lunny in that position, imo Norwood is the better option when playing a team that doesn't park the bus so muchNot sure I agree Bruce...I think we got a glimpse of the future when Norwood went off against the Geordies and Lundstram dropped into his position. Dont think it will happen yet but I reckon Lunny is Norwoods long term replacement
After today not happy. Played well.Looks like Gomes is going to be out for quite a while, and Everton will need cover in midfield.
Even before the injury people were calling for Besic to come back into their team anyway as lacking some bite and desire in the middle of the park.
How would we feel about Besic going back to Everton? Not featured much but we would probably need him towards the middle/later part of the season at some point.
Do we need to look at recruiting another Central midfielder? Or are we ok? Up until now i would have said it wasnt a priority.
