To those who say our scouting network is a bit suspect or needs looking at, according to a Portmouth newspaper a Horndean (in Hampshire) defender to have Sheff United trial. Without connections or a scouting network how do we get players for the future like that. A 20 year old defender playing in Wessex League

His manager thinks he has a great attitude so he could be an ideal fit for our style of play, if he's good enough.

Young enough to learn if talent is there and seems committed to the cause, bit of a random league to come from but why not!

Not surprising. We signed Horatio Hirst from the Oxford area. Possibly others too that have since moved on.

We’ve also signed a couple of foreign youth players.
