We were in for both Roberts and McCarthy in the summer, they also beat us to Stephen Warnock during the recently closed January window; hopefully we will be in a position to beat them to players next season.

Its about the wages, and we have to be careful, even when we CAN afford to pay superstar money to someone... It is the single biggest cause of disruption in the dressing room.. when someone new comes in on £50k/week, how do you think Jags or Paddy might feel.. knowing that they have been among the best performers for us for ages? Do we suddenly pay everyone loads more money? I don't think so...

I understand why strikers get more, if they're scoring the goals, cause thats the ultimate way to get points.. BUT.. I don't think they should get more each week than the other top players, unless they're actually scoring. Maybe massive bonuses for each goal is how they ought to be paid?

Personally, I really don't want the likes of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at BDTBL on 5x more than anyone else. Its not fair on the rest, unless he's scoring 2 goals a game, & how many strikers do that?? Just my thoughts......

That's what upset Paul Devlin when Peschisolido was signed... Devlin was under the impression Pesch was on a lot more money and so wanted away.
