Benefits of neew signings

Tell you one thing, we won't be short of pace this coming season. All 3 signings are coming across as very lean hungry fit lads.
I can't wait to get going think we can ruffle a few feathers on the strutting peacock teams in the prem
We’ve had pace before but unless it comes with ability to do something with the ball it is not over useful !

From their highlight reels, they're already a massive upgrade on Burke, who we purchased last time out in the prem.

Don't kill the new signing, feel good vibe by reminding us that we actually paid money and wages on Ollie 'Gump' Burke.

I bet Burke’s agent has a cracking highlight reel for him as well. Not saying these lads are bad but the YouTube signings hopefully stopped after Ravel Morrison.

Everyone knew what we were getting with Ravel Morrison. Also, pretty certain Oli Burke's highlight reel was just Forest Gump

Some of our fans would have Ravel back tomorrow and insist he’s been ‘misunderstood’ his whole career 🤣

Interesting to see what the new players are capable of..
We live exiting times!

Rumbelows sprint challenge?
Won’t hear anything against Ady. Anyone who dropped Uber cunt Adrian Heath is fine by me. His dance and smile in the reply in front of the hillbillies at Turf Moor while they were screaming racist abuse at him was memorable. As was the great chant which we had for him.

Agreed . One the great myths about AL is that his only attribute was pace , the rest of his game being fair to crap .

This is far from being the case since he often demonstrated excellent close control , passing ability and an eye for goal .

In respect of the latter , his remarkable clipped volley over the goalkeepers head from a ball coming from behind over his shoulder against Coventry (I think) is one that Best , Bergkamp and even Maradonna would have been proud of .

I remember Liverpool away, April 94, I’d backed us to win 2-1 and stood to win around £65.

With about 2 minutes to go and courtesy of a Jostein Flo double, that was the score. All of a sudden, Littlejohn was clean through, one on one with David James, to make it 3.

He didn’t let me down 😉

I hope and expect that PH has done the due diligence homework on these guys.

He said that individuals were to be assessed to ensure they did not disrupt the strong team ethos and dressing room togetherness.

That quality is something Hecky was quite proud of. Rightly so when we acknowledge the chance of some players having a big ego, far outstrips their football skills and ability.

Two good examples of guys who don’t believe their own hype, are NDiaye and Berge. Could easily have their heads turned but didn’t. As opposed to the charm deficient Lundstrum?
It’s probably the reason these transfers were pushed to make Portugal in time to be included.

Anyone worried that these players will be missing when the AFCON kicks off? Don't be it coincides with the Premier League winter break mostly. If their teams progress we will only miss them for probably one game.

Was at that game too. Seems a lifetime away now.

Think we went 1 down early doors (Ian Rush?) and came back to win it. I remember a young whipper snipper called Robbie Fowler looking very very dangerous after coming on as a substitute. He was causing panic in our back line. You knew he was going to be some player even then.

Young, cheap, risk free, should leave plenty of money in the bank should the worst happen this season.

Potential big growth in value & ability.

I can’t lie, I’m not excited by any of them as I don’t know m anything about them but I’m not against this transfer policy if we’ve got the scouting right
