Yes, what a fantastic rumour. One of the best we've had for years. Now this is just the sort of player we need to be rumoured to be interested in.

The quality of our rumoured targets has been shamefully poor for years. This is much better, but it's only a start. We need to be consistently rumoured to be interested in better quality players.

I suspect it's largely down to having "one of our own" as manager.

Pringle would have been a major coup but it doesn't fit in with Wilder's transfer plan of signing players from Leagues One ad Two and Pringle would probably cost around £500,000 plus wages. It always seemed unlikely to me.
