I’ve knocked him for individual mistakes but not to levels in hearing.

Anyone disagree when he came on last week he was by far our best defender? Mee is only a one in one out swap imo, it’s a sticky plaster not a log term solution to a broken defence created when we failed to bring in a CB when Souter got crocked.

Totally agree with this. He’s limited in his ability but never hides and always gives 100%. I have been critical of him in the past but the some of the things said about him are out of order.

Agreed mate - I just don't get the abuse he gets on here. Think it must be all the Fifa 25 managers we have in the stands - anyone that's played at a decent level will see he's never been a shirker. Yeah, no Zidane either, but worth a warm welcome to the lane for what he's achieved with the club.

Agreed it’s not Robbo’s fault. Sadly it is the complete negligence of the club since O’Connell got injured to not prioritise a permanent long term quality centre back.

I agree but with two caveats.
1) Anel was definitely top class for the level we were at. Not up to Jack's levels who should have been fast tracked into the England setup. He was THAT good.
2) Replacing Egan was potentially more negligent... and then obviously replacing Souttar. Having JLT as the replacement each time was laughable.

I know Wrexham have signed Callum Doyle, but I still think Robbo goes there.

Zatterstrom is a long term project (that could have an impact in the short term) but allows us to move RND on.

Godfrey is the immediate Anel replacement, and you could probably say the same about Tanganga as well (if he signs).

Could see Godfrey, Bindon and Tanganga competing for those 2 CB spots, probably with Mee and Zatterstrom as 4th and 5th choice respectively.

Plus, both Godfrey and Tanganga have previously played RB as well.

If we sign mee I can't see JLT even making the squad , TBF IMO I think Redmond shouldn't be offered a contract unless it's a pay as you play.
But we'll have to see what the EPL teams also want to put out into the loan market.

I would sit Soumare and Peck in the centre. Seriki and Burrows on the wings as you say. Start with a solid base first and find our feet before we go all gung ho.

Then you have a choice of 2 10's (Hamer. O'Hare, Barry) and one Striker or one 10 and Campbell and Ings / Cannon up front.
