Nether Green, Abbeydale's first boozer.

I've seen him holding forth in there, although that was a while ago.
Used to be absolutely gash that pub. For years. However, I was in there a week or so back.
Lovely array of taps 🥰🤨

If I didn’t have to drive 2 hours home 🤦‍♂️

YIKES. Don't go mentioning the facts on here. No-ones interested in the facts. The narrative has been set: WORST LOANEE EVER.
It was people like you that are focused purely on stats that justified the spending of silly money on Cannon because he'd scored 9 goals in half a season in the Championship...

You can prove anything you want with stats.. .

Possibly so, but Gus doesn't want to pick a fight with the referee or the player that is marking him

Do you actually watch games? Gus's attitude to referees is pathetic, with him backchatting constantly. He was lucky last season, not to pick up more yellows for dissent, in addition to the unnecessary fouls.

Yep I'm well known around these parts for using statistics to prove how amazing Tom Cannon is.

Seriously though, we all saw BBD looked less good in the Championship than he did the Prem. But the way people are saying it was a complete disaster of loan just isn't backed up by facts. And when it comes to stats, the bigger the sample size the better - half a season certainly isn't enough IMO.

You obviously don't like Gus then. Would you like him gone?
I think Gus is the best player we have by some distance, and definitely with all the outgoings it is a priority to keep hold of him. That said his petty fouling and constant backchat is annoying especially because we do not have the luxury of a big strong squad. It's plain silly to pick up pointless yellow cards.

Obviously just because you site his shortcomings doesn't mean for one minute you want him gone.

No, of course not.

Thanks very much, I couldn't have put it better.

Gus is the best midfield player we have ever had since TC and Sabella, Maybe Don Hutchinson gets a look in.
We sell him at our peril.
Bedwetting point though - has his sale been agreed to fund our new defence, sorry , defense (US language).
Hopefully we build the team around him.
Time will tell.

As a playmaker, it's a fair shout, although Glyn Hodges did it in the Premier League.

For contribution to the club (longevity / promotion), I'd chuck in Cockeril, Dane, Mitch Ward, Jags, Coutts, Fleck and Norwood.
We also saw some great contributions from McCall and Cowans, although both were well pas their best
