CONFIRMED Ben Brereton-Diaz joins on loan with option of permanent

Where is he playing at Southampton? He's not played much and not scored or assisted at all in thr league. We know he can do it at that level with 6 goals in 14 games for us.

He must be forcing down his resale value in order to get a moved back to us 😂

I was told that he has/had bought an house in Sheffield near the new / next to the new HSBC training ground an that both him and his missis hasn’t settled down there especially his missis building work has been done on the house he’s bought for past few weeks
 
BBD is on £35k per week. Easily doable for us around that figure.
 
I think bbd , jade Jones would solve our forward attacking gaps
Just need a centre half and a central midfielder like Sousa
4 signing,s and I'd start to believe in promotion
But quality not squad fillers

Exactly mate. We have plenty of squad fillers that are getting more game time now than they normally would. We have the squad players, we need 3 or 4 more nailed on starters.

Agree the priority should be starters but would be amazing to have a Peschisolido type on the bench that can actually come on and win a game

remember Robbie fowler doing something very similar invested his money into property think he’s listed down as one of richest footballers you would think wit wages their on these days that they wouldn’t bother or wouldn’t have to

He probably doesn't need to for today, but it must help him to know that he's comfortable for all his tomorrows whatever life brings, and may there be many of them.

Dont forget the employers National Insurance contributions which brings it up to £ 39,830 per week or
just over £2 million per year.

Plus some kind of transfer fee.

20,000 season ticket sales at say average £ 450 each = £ 9million.
 

TBF at this stage if the player makes it clear he wants to leave they surely would let him go regardless of who the new manager is.
 
Southampton still have about 7 forwards. Just as likely the new guy doesn't fancy BBD based on performances this season
 
I think there is every chance the sacking of Martin might also speed up the exit of BBD from the Saints.

The new manager coming in, will probably want to bring in his own players and will see that they have a huge squad already and are top heavy with forwards. The board will know they are as good as down and will in all likelihood be asking the new man to get some out of the door first. If United come knocking re BBD then I can see it where they will want to do business with us if the figures are right for all parties. Bear in mind BBD isn't the new managers signing and the player is probably OK with moving on, and I think it's a goer.

Southampton operate a director of football model and he makes all. Those decisions
Unless rohl specifically states he wants to have a look at everyone first, which would probably mean he can't bring anyone in

Selling a player & strengthening a team where the manager sang ‘sausage Rohl’ about him might not be at the top of his wish list either 😂
