Ryanair also does Derry-Stanstead. There's an early morning flight on the Saturday.

Thankfully the son can mind ours. Out from international back to Dublin? Dublin has the late flights. Problem is you can’t drive to the airport then because you’re back to a different one.

It’s fascinating reading this and realising how much cheaper it is to fly from Ireland to London than it is to get a train from Chesterfield.

No Sat morning flights from IoM, so having to do Friday to Sunday. Flights back are a rip off too as it's the start of TT.

It's the one thing I loved but equally hated about living over there but working over here, trying to get home around TT. Absolute fortune.

It’s fascinating reading this and realising how much cheaper it is to fly from Ireland to London than it is to get a train from Chesterfield.

Depending on what your interests are so many day trip cheap flights especially from “London airports” usually Ryanair from Stansted but you can get to Peterborough easily enough on the train and up that way. I was on a stagdo to Toulouse for the day we checked into a Premier Inn for 2 nights and everything apart from the beer all in under £100. The flights were £32 return although it was a 06:00 flight out and 22:30 back was on the beer in a pub in Toulouse by 10:30am

I know it would be a ball ache but you could fly to Newquay from Dublin then onto London for a lot less, bloody ridiculous though hope you find a way
