Burnley had less points than us.
Today confirmed the commentator's comments that they had been playing better than their results had suggested.
That, and the result leaves us entrenched in the position of being the worst in this league by some distance.
They had the ability to move the ball forward intelligently, accurately, and with confidence.
They were relatively organised in defence, they knew how to finish chances when they came.
We looked like a bunch of lower league players doing their best to avoid a hammering.
We are so far off the pace, it's frightening.
Make no mistake, we are going down this season.
Maybe, just maybe we will start to see the players gel towards the end of the season ready for the Championship, but there is so much work to do it's unreal.
For the first time, I lay the blame squarely on Hecky's shoulders.
The team has been coached to be negative, ineffiicient, and totally lacking in self belief.
'Vincent Comany's Burnley' are suffering a similar fate to us in that they have made major changes in the summer, but us and Burnley are miles apart in playing style.
