He put his best mate on the pen when we had Bamford and burrows on the pitch masterstroke that ah Chris
I think the thinking was that Sydie has bottle and mental toughness, which he has. But unfortunately the flaw in that plan is that striking a ball is not one of Sydie’s strengths.

Chris wanted him to score so he had an excuse to big him up if he really cared that much it would have been Bamford or burrows think of the club not your mate

His best mate ,jesus fucking wept. was he in Tank with him on Friday night or had Peck scored our last 2 pens , when Burrows and Bamford had missed theirs ?
Shearer missed a few just cos sideways sydie scored his last 2 doesn't guarantee he'd score next one

He works better with a limited budget which we will have next season. The squad is capable of a top six finish and needed only fine tuning last summer. He knows the vast majority of the players and what needs to be done including getting us much fitter in the summer. Too many players weren’t fit enough when the season started which wasn’t down to him. He has achieved the remit of avoiding relegation. Let’s not kid ourselves. Nobody was thinking of play offs when we were losing every game under Selles, we were that bad. You can’t turn that form and shot confidence round overnight. If we want to deviate from Wilder which we will have to at some point then the infrastructure needs to be altered which it won’t be anytime soon. Finallly after guiding us to 90 points last season and to safety this the majority think he deserves another chance……
So off you go then, in a sensible constructive way, why don’t you think he’s the man for the job?
Good post

Of course he deserves another season - whereas the owners 🙁

Most of these lemons would settle for us playing in League 1 just as long and Wilder was the manager.
Yep,we cannot move on from his first excellent tenure, where it was the best football I’ve seen, lose 1 player and it all falls apart. As I said yesterday our Wilder lovers are extremely happy with a 15th place finish,no one else could have done it !! Especially with an array of £25k players being paid to propel them up the table.

Opinions on this are varied.

Mine is this.

Take a look at the pain clearly visible on Wilders face in his post Brum interview before you crack your next remark.

He’s hurting. More than most of yous lot being honest about it.

I wonder if this thread will end up with the 20 being some form of Epstein list

Everyone will have an idea but no one will really know, including the 20 themselves

You could make a film about the list.

The hateful twenty doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as the hateful eight though.

Could do then there was twenty

Wilder fakes his own death and then with the help of some on here he starts bumping them off one by one

Of course after the first few deaths being successful he would insist on all the deaths being done the same way but that’s something we could work on

I don’t know what to make of his hurt. Is it the stick he’s getting? Is it disappointment in how the season has gone? Is there an element of fatigue with being the manager for 3 separate stints, 8 years out of 10 years?

Wilder would probably be a safe pair of hands and do an alright job next season. But with the history between the club, fans and Wilder. It could well be best for everyone to move on, including Wilder.

This season was fooked from the get go . I will reserve judgement until the end of next season based on recruitment, the ability to keep our squad fit and Wilders tactics . Look me up in May 27

A good draw, but we should have won if Harrison had taken the penalty; he would have scored. Nothing against Siddy Peck.
Davies has a good game. The red card was a mistake by the referee; Bindon was covering at the back.
The playoffs are over, and I don't think we will cut the gap.
Fair enough, but Burrows did miss his last penalty which had he scored, would have gotten us a crucial point away at Hull in September, whereas Peck has scored his last 2 penalties.

Red card was a mistake, one of a few across the EFL yesterday, with that Charlie Hughes one for Hull being the worst of the lot.

Agree on Davies, he's been solid of late, and Bindon has easily been out most improved player recently.

While he's been inconsistent with his impact and performances this season, I'm glad we've got Hamer back for Wrexham as he's one of the few players we've got (Brooks and Bamford are the others) who can produce moments of quality to win games on their own.
