Really says a lot about the intelligence of the Wilder fan brigade when their brains can only comprehend 2 possible managers, Wilder or Sellés.
What in that post indicates they would only consider 2 managers? I don’t understand the mentality of those of you who hate Wilder so much (or those who put him on a pedestal) but fortunately you are few and far between.

Because I asked where he goes with his mates on non-matches days and then explained I’m rarely in Sheffield on match days and for some reason you can’t put these things together so we can only assume you’re thick as fuck. Which would also explain your love of Wilder.
You didn’t specify non match days. You were asked why you don’t tell him yourself which you still haven’t answered. You proceed to call anyone who doesn’t agree with you “thick as fuck” or Wilder lovers when plenty of us don’t actually think he’s god (though you’d love to imply it) but think he’s the right man for the job.

What in your opinion makes him the right man for the job?

He works better with a limited budget which we will have next season. The squad is capable of a top six finish and needed only fine tuning last summer. He knows the vast majority of the players and what needs to be done including getting us much fitter in the summer. Too many players weren’t fit enough when the season started which wasn’t down to him. He has achieved the remit of avoiding relegation. Let’s not kid ourselves. Nobody was thinking of play offs when we were losing every game under Selles, we were that bad. You can’t turn that form and shot confidence round overnight. If we want to deviate from Wilder which we will have to at some point then the infrastructure needs to be altered which it won’t be anytime soon. Finallly after guiding us to 90 points last season and to safety this the majority think he deserves another chance……
So off you go then, in a sensible constructive way, why don’t you think he’s the man for the job?

There are other managers who are as capable of working with a limited budget, you could even argue that managers who are more open to using modern data driven recruitment (no, not just the failed AI attempt which people on here hate despite not fully understanding). But a system similar to that used very successfully by other clubs.

The fitness issues weren't just this season, we've suffered from a lack of fitness when Wilder & co had a pre-seasons, we've seen nothing to suggest there will be an improvement in those terms next season. Yes our overall fitness was good in his first spell, but since covid it's been poor even with when he's had pre-season.

I agree the infrastructure behind the scenes needs work for us to progress, but that won't happen with Wilder in charge so we have to just move on at some point. We all know he would refuse to work with a sporting director or without full control so we can't progress while he's here blocking that progress. We're also currently limited by Bettis being so involved and seemingly mates with Wilder.

There's also the issue that if we do progress, at some point we will need to sign better players and therefore pay higher fees. Wilder has proven, several times, that he cannot be trusted with those funds.

Personally I think if the owners had an ambition (or knowledge of the game) they would make the required changes, bring in the correct people/set up behind the scenes and tell Wilder he can either work within that set up as the head coach or he can leave of his own accord.

I don’t agree with all of that but it’s far better than calling people “thick as fuck” when they don’t share your opinion or that they are his mates who get free tickets from him down the pub

The problem is, most of his biggest supporters won't accept opinions different to theirs as they truly believe he is the greatest manager on the planet, those are the ones who get called thick as fuck, not you.

I got called that simply for pointing out that should you wish, you can quite easily meet the manager and tell him your views face to face. I don't think he's the greatest nor the worst manager on earth but it would appear that failing to agree with you makes you have a meltdown.

He’s the current manager of Sheffield United and has had relative success in the role over recent years. We also don’t have a great record when we’ve tried anything other than a Blade as a manager in recent years.

What makes you say he’s not?

Who would be your suggestion as an alternative?

The owners will see ANOTHER red card, and be aware of the momentous anti wilder feeling. He is well and truly on borrowed time !

You know if you really hate him this much you can quite easily find him and let him know. Seriously, he goes for a pint in the hotel after home games, it's common knowledge where he goes out with his mates so rather than bore the fucking tits off everybody with your constant fucking sniveling, why not tell him to his face?
Lol, as if these soy boy incels would dare step out from behind their big protective keyboards to confront anyone.

He’s obviously been reading this forum lol, he even mentioned culture of the club, which has been heavily mentioned in a few posts on different threads. I’m also not sure what game he was watching at Norwich - he said we had more chances, fact were we didn’t.,

He works better with a limited budget which we will have next season.

The January transfer window doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence that he is good with a lower budget.

Even more reason to restructure the player recruitment department.
