We need to remember that the preparation, selection, recruitment, tactics, motivation and man management is all down to Wilder, but simple finishing is not.

If our players had finished even some of their chances, we’d have beaten West Brom and Fulham and got at least a draw from Villa, West Ham and Leeds.

Before anyone says that’s down to recruitment, it’s really not. We’ve created enough chances for professional footballers to score in those games. There’s only so much Wilder can do without lacing up his boots and getting out there.

And we’d have 8 more points.

"I'll pack it in if I ever feel I have to motivate a side in the Premier League. That shouldn't be my job but the players need to go and express themselves and play with a bit of belief."

Quotes from Wilder tonight. If a manager doesn't feel he has to motivate his team, especially in our position regardless of the league then he's deluded and has hit rock bottom. That is your job Wilder, blame the players for being shit by all means but you are accountable for this so stop making pathetic excuses.

Fulham had more chances, as did West Ham and Leeds. Not one club takes all their chances. Reality is we create less than most.

Before you get a chance to 'finish' you actually need to be able to pass the ball in at least a basic, simple way and retain possession for a given period of time. Our players cannot even do this at the moment. Simple 5-yard passes are being sliced out of play for throw-ins or returned straight back to the opposition within seconds of having gained possession.

We need to start taking 'baby steps' first before we start thinking about creating chances. THAT is how bad we are at the moment and how far we have fallen. It's embarrassing and the players should be ashamed.

I know the opening post was nearly a month ago, but after each defeat the rhetoric that 'with better luck/finishing we'd have x points by now!' becomes that bit more hollow.

Thing is we've lost 10 games with a 1-0 result. Last year we won I think 14 games 1-0. Apart from putting a shirt on and scoring himself I dont think CW can do much more, even though he has made bad decisions end of day £20 million strikers should be scoring.

He’s now in the classic, “ It’s not my fault, it’s the players” mode. That is a shit place to be because he’ll be distancing himself further from the squad and frankly, it’s unforgivable. When we were flying it was all due to Saint Chris, he should go Now - he’s becoming embarrassing.

They’re only £20million strikers because we paid that for them. If they can’t finish chances, that’s our mistake.

If you look at some of the chances since the start of the season even you could have scored. I dont mean £20 million worth strikers should be scoring I meant £20 million strikers should be scoring even if they are now worth nowt. As in if you pay £20 million you expect at least a goal or two. I agree in this case they werent worth the money. Not my mistake I didnt buy them. :)

Which is the best 2 for 1 deal between Osborn/Robinson and Lowe/Bogle?

If you're going to be in the Premier League, you just don't do this kind of transfer dealing.

It's especially astounding when you're doing things like spending £20M+ on other players.

Are we splashing out or shopping in the bargain bins? There's no in between.

The only thing that's common with the signings is that they're all not good enough.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree Derek Dooley in his current, dead state could probably have scored some of our chances. I’m just thinking it’s the relative lack of quality we have in the squad that’s led to us not scoring. Premier league players finish the chances we’ve made.

I’m glad you didn’t buy them. I hope you’d know better 😉

He has the best football management job in the history of the game.
When we were doing well he was a God and it was all because of him.
Now we are shit it's the players fault.

I don't blame him for not walking. Where else would be get a job where he could do no wrong in the eyes of most fans, and, so it seems the owner?
