I so hope this is true. I've got a pig-fan friend who seems to spend half his life on Facebook slagging United off and Ched Evans gave him plenty of ammunition when the story broke. If this pans out I'm gonna get medieval on him.
Can you spill some beans on the crime? It's not like you're naming the alleged footballer is it?

The bloke was good enough to not take a contract until fully fit (someone would have certainly offered him one). A couple of Pens and a free kick making the net would still count as goals. I know you are aware that our squad is so packed with Messi type players that we don't actually need a good set piece taker. Lazy and uninterested. Yawn. A couple of goals keeping the "medicrity" lovers busy. Assuming you mean mediocrity lovers then a few goals that equals a few points should keep us all happy shouldn't it? The rest of it just gets worse and worse. Its designed to poke people with sticks in the worst possible way.

Fact is there isn't a constructive point in there anywhere (there rarely is). No balance in your argument and no comment about the things that actually matter. For instance, he is lazy but I hope that he bags the goals to get us to where we need to be.

Were we really paying him that? And if so is that a % of what he was on or are we the only fuckwits that pay 100% plus a loan fee? He was someone they wanted rid of so should have been glad if we even offered half. What do you think Pompey are paying people and will they go to the wall again soon as their first 11 must be one of the biggest wage bills in the Championship.

Re Beattie - I think if he's not on some ridiculous contract then give him a go. This league is a bit shit really and a bit of nous and a decent finish will mean he will get goals. What happens in jan needs to be on our terms though, not his.
 
Seen BT this afternoon at Shircliff and he looks as fit as a butchers dog. I think he will play some part tomorrow.

Even if that were tue ( and as a criminal defence lawyer myself you can never predict results 100%) he will be sold; the effect is the same. I f beattie and Ched move on we will be left with two donkeys at the end of the season having sold Slew, Hendo , Ward and Boggy
