Well done lads played great, all team done well passed good, made moves and had open play chances that we havnt in awhile. and beattie what was that crap... We cant rely on loan players to take us up apart from Halford wich should be a blade very soon!!! what u all think? whats ur oppions

Just you, he's been consistently awful ..... until tonight.
No idea where that performance came from, I'd completely written him off. Maybe he only turns up for the big games? More of the same on Monday please.

I thought beattie wasnt supposed to be playing in the play offs cause his 90 day loan period would have ended straight after the palace match.....did we get him on a season long loan or something?

93 day loan, signed 20/02/09 - making him eligible till the 23rd of May. Which doesn't cover the final.

BT did everything right except when he got in front of goal and that's the key for me. If you've recorded it, watch some of his link play with Howard in particular. We were a bigger threat when he came on and at least he keeps going.
He at least gets into scoring positions and as my old coach at Hurfield used to say, it's better to get into scoring positions and miss then never to have any.
We need to get right behind BT cus I think he'll play Monday and eventually, one's going to go in for him. If we get on is back, (like I'm sure some numpties will from the off) we've only ourselfs to blame if he does a Webber and hides!

Beattie should have done better... the air turned blue but for the most part in frustration a the situation than at Beattie peresonally. He played better than Henderson because he simply is not Henderson... Hendo is never ever going to get a foul given against him while Beattie doesn't get in the same situations. He plays off defenders instead of trying to play on defenders.
He looked scared to come towards the away end after the final whistle and I just hope he's professional enough not to let it get to him. Blades fans are fickle beings and you'll all be changing your changing your tune on Monday if he knocks 'em in.
All we can do is get behind him. We're in the play-offs ffs... if there was ever a time to get behind your on team then it's now.

Hear hear, we've got a young striker up here that the "boo-boys" were getting on top of. f*cking destroyed his confidence and he just got worse and worse. I know Beattie's not young but still, booing your own players is never the way to go...although a few cusses here and there can't be helped

Beattie wouldn't be a bad player if he can finish!
He does well to get in the positions he does at times, he won his share of headers last night and has got decent feet.Should have scored when he blazed over and should have passed to Lupoli.

That bastard bearing down on you would scare you wouldn't it!!! Beattie looked fairly good in places on Friday, if he's in side on Monday hope he doesn't get yips. SV's right though, couldn't hit a barn door that kid.

i agree to an extent. however i do think he can actually finish a goal, his career goals is something like 1 in 4. when he was at palace he scored 5 in 15 so i think he can score its just i think his confidence is so low that when he gets in a possible goal scoring position he just shoots instead of looking for possible better options.
unfortunately there are also occasion when he thinks he's Ronaldo where he goes for the fancy instead of just burying it. i think it was Forrest game where it was harder for him to miss than score and he tried some silly lob shot. it did lob the goal keeper but unfortunately he lobbed the crossbar as well.
i think there is potential for him to be a good striker for us but he just needs to keep focused, not be as greedy and stop the fancy shit.
all strikers need to save that greedy fancy triple somersault overhead flying bicycle kick shite for when the team are 3-0 up with a minute to go, until we get to that position where we can showboat. all of our players need to keep there heads, look up, if they can score take the shot or if there are better options pass it.
when all said and done we are all looking for the same outcome......PROMOTION.
The players on loan also need to focus on promotion because if their parent clubs get relegated which Beattie's could will they want to go back or would they prefer to stay with us.
Please don't let Beattie anywhere near the Wembley pitch!
To be fair, for a guy that's hardly played he did the best he could, but I struggle to understand why Blackwell kept him on for the whole 90 minutes. He was dead on his feet after about 60 minutes, though was still considerably faster than Mawene!

Because despite not having the legs, he was still able to hold the ball up and wait for people to join in the attack when it was backs to the wall defending.
