Beat the piggies or promotion?

Now I'm by no means suggesting that IRL, this is an either/or situation.

BUT... which would you prefer from a season?

Doing the double over the piggies but staying in the CCC?

OR

Them doing the double over us but us getting promoted?

There's no fence-sitting or "both" on this one, for the purposes of the poll, it has to be one or the other.

I hate to say it but after the weekend I doubt we can do either!

We have some big names in the twighlight of their careers but what we're lacking is real quality both in mid field and up front. We look a long way from a Premiership outfit at the moment to me.

We were outplayed in the middle of the park over the weekend and it also showed that our strikers simply can't put the goals away. Ask yourself, how many times do you see a Premiership striker fail to score when through on goal? How many times do you see them miss the target entirely from that position? Answer is very rarely and thats what seperates the quality from the rest.

If you're going to get promotion or if you're going to play in the Premiership then you need a good midfield to control the park and strikers who always hit the target and very rarely fail to convert when through. At the moment we have a mediocre midfield and strikers who have good scoring records for some matches but who put the ball wide and fail to convert all too often. For a striker its all about taking chances, its not a numbers game.

If I have to say one or the other than Promotion for me but it simply won't happen.

In principle, I'd go with promotion and losing twice. However, I'd like to see us hit the 100 year mark with no Owls double.

personally, i'd rather us do the double and stay put. The prem is full of poor quality refereeing favoring the "big clubs" IMO.

Not only that, i can't stand the s*it from s6, not done the double over us since before the wars, why now?

Anywhooooo, I'd rather lose 8-0 each time, watch Brian Laws do his dambusters impression like he did last year, let them gloat all they want throughout the season then come the end when they finish 14th and we get promoted we'll see who's laughing

So we'd rather just stay where we are? I can't believe that. As a football fan you need to strive to achieve something and when you're a CCC club that thing is promotion. I want to feel the euphoria of promotion again. The euphoria of beating the porkers doesn't even come close, they're shit anyway.And so what if they bleat about beating us? Fuckem.

Yes, the Premiership is corrupt but I'd rather get promoted and come straight back down again than not go up at all.Who's to say we won't make a decent fist of it next time? Plenty of teams have yoyoed between the divisions. If you get relegated it gives you something to strive for again the season after. They can have both victories for me if it means we get promoted.

People who say they would rather us beat Wednesday than get promoted are the kind of people who chant "Sheffield Wednesday's fucked it up again" when we are losing at home because someone has scored against the grunters.

Promotion for me every time.

For me its more than just a match. i hate the club and i hate the fans. some are half decent, but its a minority.
Id rather us do the double over the pigs and win a cup than get promoted and them do the double.

I've seen us play in europe, but i haven't seen us win a cup!
