Anyone heard whether anything is planned? Not enough tickets for season ticket holders, let alone members etc, and wont be on tele so can't see any reason not to. We all know that the quality won't be great but its better than nowt.

I was told by someone high up at the Lane when we did the beam back, part of the agreement was that the service was to be returned from the pigs

If there is to be a beam back, they'd better get on to it sharpish. It'll take a fair bit of organisation.

I'd be happy to pay for online streaming for this one. If they do a beam back, they could also offer it to e.g. registered Blades only as a pay-for-view webcast. I'm not sure about the rights issues, but there will be plenty of people located outside Sheff who would pay for this.

Was the last beamback when AkinBadBuy and tonge scored two pearlers? I went to that one at the lane. I remember it well. After about 40 mins or boring football i retreated to the John Street Bar to get a pint, heard a roar go up, lobbed my pint and ran back upstairs to find us one nil up. Wacthed the reply went back to the q.
Then heard another roar chucked my pint again to find it was 2 and BadBuy had repaid the entirity of the £1.25 mil we paid for him. Went back to the bar then for my third pint yet no beer had passed my lips.
Worth it tho :)

Man U are on against Norwich at the same time, so it's definitely not on Sky :(

Altho BadBuy's may have come after half time..... I remember lobbing two pints whatever the weather

I will go to the beamback if there is one. Cant see me getting a ticket for the game itself

Do you think they will locate the Beamback in Switzerland for tax reasons?

Foxy, i know it's a hell of a long shot, but any chance you can suggest something like this to the club? It's the biggest derby game for years and I'd be more than happy to pay for a stream, as i'm sure many others would to.

Doubt if a beamback will happen.

Dont forget they are massive.

Ergo we are not.

Thus no beamback.

Simples!!

There are a number of hurdles to jump and it's something I've discussed before with the people with power to make it happen... I'd rate it as very unlikely.

Why not? The piggies manage to do it and we used to do it before they did.

I see the piggies have sold out for the derby, 12,500 tickets sold on general sale in 3 days...

Begs the question where these part time footers have been all season and for the last few years when they've been really shite

In a year when they are the closest they could be to us, the glory boys are out of the wood work.

Bless em. More witnesses for the massacre

We'll have to pay the pigs an extortionate price for showing the game and then theres the problem of having fans pay a £15 beam back Blades membership fee so that non season ticket holders can buy a ticket and get £1 off, along with 10% off the tat they sell in the club shop

I was talking about streaming and not a beamback :)

So, Foxy, do we know what the chances of a beamback are? I would imagine the interest in this game is enormous, simply due to the fact it must be the first time since 79/80 that the two clubs have been so close together.

am i missing something ? What is wrong with the membership scheme ? Saves money on home match tickets, means you can still use your points the same as a season ticket holder and you get money off at the shop. Pay £15 and you save money over a season...sounds fine to me

The last three games that we have played the pigs at home have been like this.

Blades 1-2 Pigs - Beamback
Blades 3-2 Pigs - Sky sports
Blades 2-2 Pigs - Beamback

If we dont screen a beamback then I think some serious questiones need asking of someone. Why can they seemingly do it at will but we have to listen to the shitty radio?

makes you wonder what the marketing departments (at both clubs) are doing to miss a money making opportunity like this

It seems we have a comedian in our midst.

Are we going to ban this cunt?

You ran out of apostrophes thick cunt. Typical fuck faced fucker.

That's not a very nive way to refer to our thick inbred friend from S6. When he's finished shagging his sister he'll be on here moaning. Perhapw we should point out that we did a beamback long before Wendy did? Or alternatively we could just instruct him to go and get fucked.

As far as banning him there's usually a "man the harpoons" session first.:D

Am I the only one who thought the beamback was crap! the screen looked tiny just parked on the pitch, not to mention several squares of the screen kept going out. Saying that though Id still go if it’s the only way I can see the game. Think my 16950 points are going to be 50 short of getting a ticket.

Its not likely to be on any of them there foreign channels is it?
