I'm guessing that, as a functioning Human Being, there would be several other forwards he would like to have signed before he got down the list to Cresswell.

You can argue against his tactics - and I do. You can argue about his ability in the transfer market - and I do that too.

But bottom line he's being asked improve the squad and cut the wage bill at the same time. Big ask of anyone. I'd like to see the likes of Benitez and Ferguson try it.

Dont even mention Benitez and Ferguson in the same breath as Blackwell Remember he's the guy that moans on the radio that he's told them what to do but they don't do it ! Can you ever envisage Brian Clough coming out with that excuse!

Neil Sipperley did his job like Henderson and Evans are but why do we need Cresswell when we have them 2 all ready?

In my opinion last nights point was won by Kevin Blackwell.

We conceded three sloppy goals which the team (not solely the defence) need to accept the blame for.

At this point Blackwell withdraws a full back and throws on a striker - changing the formation to 3-4-3 (in attack - with Squinny dropping back to 4-4-2 in defence). This creates such pressure on Ipswich that they then conceded 2 late goals - Point for the Blades.

Blackwell was not primarily responsible for the shocking defending that led to their goals - but his substitution salvaged something from the game for us.

I'm far from 100% convinced by Blackie (though I can see no logical reason for this beyond his lack of charisma) - but credit where it's due.

what length of contract would you like him to re-sign ? a year .2 years maybe even 3 years ?

It can't all be Blackwell's fault (and that's if you concede he's doing a bad job). Surely it can't have been his idea to have a squad this small, I can only imagine his hands have been tied far more than he has let on. I think the League position we are in given the paucity of plying staff actually speaks volumes for what Blackwell has done.
