[Silent Blade]

Watched the Late kick off programme on BBC last night. It featured some incidents in the 1972 match between Blades and Man City that wasnt seen on TV since that night of the match. BBC iplayer have not included Summerbee and debutant Alan Ogden (R.I.P.) clashing with each other, Currie running on the right wing and putting in a low cross to the box, Hockey (R.I.P) kicking Mike Doyle and getting a lecture from the ref, Colquhoun being kicked on the shin by Summerbee and sitting on the touchline rubbing the painful area on his shin, Cec Coldwell (R.I.P.) carrying Hockey like a baby off the pitch, Colquhoun kicking Colin Bell and Gentleman John Harris (R.I.P.) speaking after the match. IN addition TC's goal and Francis Lee's penalty that can be viewed on youtube. Luckily I had sky plussed the programme but I cant understand why they have not included the above incidents on BBC iplayer

Interesting that they've cut bits from iplayer though, maybe a rights issue on the footage?

I see, ITV (usually ITV4) do have "The Big Match Revisited" and the BBC could have the same for BBC3 and BBC4

was my first ever blades game, if only every game i have seen the Blades play had been anything like as exciting as that game was. Sad how many participants are no longer with us, annoyingly the iplayer doesn't work out here but it was great watching the couple of minutes on youtube, thanks for the tipoff.
