To save people the effort;

Sheffield United
Last season - Promoted

This season - 17th

There is always at least one prediction that goes against the grain and this is mine.

Sheffield United are plenty of people's tips to go down but I am going with the Chris Wilder factor and the stirring surroundings of Bramall Lane to keep the Blades in the Premier League.

Wilder revels in his "old school" managerial persona. Do not be fooled.

He is smart, meticulously prepared, has proved his tactical flexibility and his impressive record shows a manager waiting for this chance to show that he can sit comfortably at the highest level.

Phil Jagielka's return will provide experience, while Oli McBurnie, at a club record £20m from Swansea City, will be relied upon for potency.

Just read It and he's got judas'team to finish bottom, Jags knows full well why he's been brought back he has a wealth of experience. Not long to go now and the new season for us starts I'd like to see Oli score more to settle him.

Saw a prediction yesterday from a guy who said he's 99% certain we'll get relegated and 50% certain we'll finish bottom because the biggest name we have in our squad is Phil Jagielka.

I saw that. 😆 Judging by the content on his youtube channel i'm 99% certain he just based his prediction on fifa ratings so take no notice.

Dean Saunders on Talksport this morning reckons Sheffield United will be the surprise package in the premiership this season and could finish half way up the league but will not be relegated,saying that the Chris Wilder factor will be a big factor.Its so easy to say the 3 promoted teams will go back down but now a few pundits are starting to edge their bets !

Hmmm. If there's a bigger fuckwit talking about football than Dean Saunders I'd like to know who it is. But so what, league positions aren't decided by what talking heads and newspaper hacks think.

I'll be honest I'll bite your hand off at 17th, but hopefully we can do a bit better.

Obviously all that rampaging across the terraces in the eighties has taken its toll :rolleyes:

As long as Wilder and the players set off to finish first that'll do for me.
I'm glad the only people talking about avoiding relegation and aiming for 17th place are our fans and we're not hearing it come from the manager, players and club.
