Except....If a player has a 'positive' drug test, then presumably he and the club will be informed, thus the suspension but the player again presumably wont have had the disciplinary hearing yet? So it does seem logical to suspend a player prior to the hearing then if there is a finding of guilt, at this stage decide on his future. Just conjecture on my part based on previous similar stuff.

Why the fuck that squad member would think it appropriate to share this information to someone else outside the club (if true) is beyond me and is an indication that there appears to be divisions within the squad.

Paddy got 12 months for the stuff as I recall.

If the rumours about Jose have foundation, can he expect a similarly harsh penalty or is the key phrase "performance enhancing"? I suspect his excuse will be that he is simply indulging in "recreational activity". I am guessing that the fundamental issue here will be the basis of his contract (disrepute etc) with SUFC.
