I’d change the rules on testimonials for Basham. He deserves to be recognised for his exemplary attitude. I’d love to fill the ground for him to enjoy the day. Absolute legend.

Do testimonials still exist, I thought they were a throwback to the days when the players travelled to Bramall Lane on the bus with their boots under their arms.
Whi was the last United player to get a testimonial ?![]()
Billy should get one, surely his combined time at the club qualifies him. They are charity events now, but it would be nice to fill the ground for Billy and Bash.Basham is superb, an example that every player in the squad should seek to emulate.

His legend continues to grow. He's one of those players we'll be talking about decades from now, boring all the youngsters with stories of how he would play CB, CM and RW, occasionally all at the same time. He did that "flick it over the guy's head, collect round the other side and go on a maraud" thing again too.

Bash, what more can you say, the Zidane "spin" against Southampton in the league cup, his goal at Elland Road when he tackled the ball into the net and his rescindedHis legend continues to grow. Then in true Bash style, nearly kicked the ball out for a throwWhat about his little maisie run through 3/4 players today too !
Still runs like Bambi on ice though.
But maybe that's his secret weapon, because he looks like he's shit, everyone underestimates him
His energy levels are unparalleled .He's a players player and never gives anything les than 100% been very much underestimated as he as a slightly ungainly look about him.Leader out there tonight, driving us forward at every opportunity. Club legend.
So far as I am aware we did not pay a fee for him. Came on a freeby. One of Cloughs few good signings. What a bargain buy ! What a player !

Bash Gordon arriving in the WBA box
And flip burgers. What a fantastic player and a fantastic professional.
For Bogles goal, is there any player in football history that would decide now is a good time to have a little flick and turn back round instead of getting his shot away.
Got to love the man
