What position should Chris Basham play next season?

I'm surprised at the result of the poll too. Most of his better performances last season were in central defence i thought.

Quite a few have suggested using him as a holding midfielder but he never played that role last season. He was more of a "box to box" midfielder.

It will be very interesting to see how Adkins uses him.

True that he never really played the anchor role, but the fact that he has such a good defensive brain, reads the game brilliantly, can put in a tackle and works his bollox off, should make him perfect in there.

Like you say, it will be interesting to see where NA uses him.

He's a central midfielder play him there simple as that.

A post that is right down my strasse - play him at centre half if you want another season in L1.

Square peg, please not again in a round hole.

I fully expect Adkins to learn by others mistakes.

Just to be clear, he did very well last season - but he is NOT a centre half. Lets remember what a real centre half should be at this level - big, strong and brutish, because that's how you get out of this division.

The same applies to Mceverly and should it come to it, Brayford also.

Where he plays , depends on who we sign , and who is fit.

Indeed, but a place has to be found for one of our best players last season. From memory he actually played in 4 or 5 different positions, which shows how adaptable he is. Given a regular spot he will go close to being our player of the season next year.

He could very well be the second "Bob Booker"
