Oh give over, if u are somehow defending a missed tap in that gets us somehow back in the game u are delusional.
Not defending it at all he was at full stretch to be fair but then again I don't have an agenda against McBurnie you clearly do.

If he can't score from 5 yards then defending it is nuts. He was sliding in yes but made full contact. Shocking miss and he's not doing it for me. He came on tonight and strolled around, no agenda just an honest opinion.

Absolutely agree. Massive fan of sharp and I think we all know that he can’t give us 90 minutes consistently at this level but I’m certain he would have bagged a few given some of the chances the others have missed
Besic made the difference Mousset n Mcgoldrick had zero service -?within minutes of Besic coming on Fleck was playing higher and we played in three balls behind their defence ideal for Mousset not Mcburnie or Sharp

Really? You could say most of the team strolled around tonight but you pick out McBurnie for criticism because he didn't score a difficult chance.

Besic needed to start, especially if Lunny was touch and go on his fitness.

Probably the right shout to start Lunny tonight as he is a Liverpool lad, but in hindsight, he would have been on the bench.

That said, Norwood and Fleck (both of whom I love) were dog shit tonight. Fleck was a liability at times.

In a way, I'm happy that they've got their bad un out of the way tonight because even if they had been their usual selves, we would probably still have lost. So no harm done in that respect. Let them move on and rest up and come back firing against West Ham.

I like Besic. Would like to see us go in for him and get him permanently.

That fellow Klopp seems to know what he's doing unlike most prem managers who've come up against 'unbelievable' Sheffield united this season. I'm beginning to see why Liverpool are world champions 😋

We played well at home because we overlapped and attacked down the wings in numbers. Like we usually do. Tonight we conceded it to them for some reason. An area we normally dominate with numbers was left empty for their full backs to run into and cross at will. I have no idea why we did this. Didn't recognize the team tonight. Was sat with a Liverpool supporter and I must have said " we don't usually do that" about 50 times.

Price tag really is irrelevant. Wish people would stop mentioning it. He should score it probably but he did well to even reach it.

No way Pedro - sitter and price tag is relevant.

Watched the game tonight. System similar to Man City game. Didn't work either game (Sorry Chris). Just thought tonight it was manage the loss rather than go out a take the game by the scruff of the neck. As before. I think that we are desperate for some attacking options at pace and perhaps a little more composure at the back, especially from Goal keeper. Hendo to me seems to have lost that ability.

Don't get me wrong he is an outstanding GK and if we get a chance he should be the first one signed. Just a bit long ball today.

There’s a chance that we end up sounding like every club that plays us and has an “off day”. We weren’t shit, we were just up against probably the best team in the world, on top form.

I’m quite happy with 2-0, not hammered, easy to move on. There’s nothing more to learn from this.

We were outplayed and have to accept it. We didn’t leave a foot in and it’s like the goal took everything out of us. Just seen Deano in a MC D’s and he said Wilder was not happy about not getting in their faces more. Two free hits for me and only for a ref on Sunday we might have been a point better off. Beat the Shammers and the world will look better. UTB.

Our midfield 3 were off their game tonight ,but the real reason we didn't threaten was they made our wing backs anonymous ,great tactics by Klopp ,Stevens and Baldock had no positive impact on the game at all ,not even as an outball ,therefore all or midfielders could do was chase and try and keep possession which they struggled to do against world class players. A good lesson for players and management.

Yes I thought at half time Wilder would have changed it. There full backs were penning ours back...we were sat so deep and when we got it we had no out ball.

Liverpool are fantastic but I thought 2md half we may have changed what we were doing, tried to play higher up the field and see a bit more of the ball. We got worse after the break and the 2nd half was so one sided. We were losing but made no attempt to get back in the gsme and just invited pressure.

Recently Wolves, Watford and Brighton have gone there and created lots of chances and caused them real problems. They gave them a really tough game and thought we would do the same but it was the easiest game Liverpool have had for some time at home. It resembled a practice match. We did not put a tackle in all game. As much as everyone is lauding them....these are a side that has played 10 more games than us and as I say struggled to beat Wolves, Brighton and Watford. Those teams all played a higher tempo on and off the ball. That is normally our forte but tonight we just sat off and did not engage them all night.

Whether they just came out and were way too good for us I don't know but I do feel if we don't tackle, press or win the loose stuff allied to giving it away every time we had it...We have little chance. We looked a bit scared and not seen that all season.

It's one game though and we have to learn from it and move on.

As Klop has just said; it was the intention to keep the ball away from us as he knew we would hurt them, hence 600 passes by the back four.

Good game plan carried out to a tee. We're not crap, just not as good as the World and European champions.
We’re certainly not crap. But not having that we couldn’t have played miles better last night. Them keeping the ball well had nothing to do with us not being able to put more than 2 passes together

How did he get it wrong against City....9 times out of 10 we leave with something from that game.

I really felt there was something missing last night...........the ball.

At the end of the day we've just been to City and Liverpool away in the same week and we're still 8th in the Prem. 😊
