People are scapegoating Moore (and I'm not sure what went on there) but I'd be more concerned that no player was on are around the edge of the box for the first or what one earth O'Connell and Stevens were doing for the second.

They are valid questions, but at 2-1 in front and in complete control; the mistake by Moore was the fulcrum on which the result swung in my own opinion. It wasn't his best day, the rash sprint out of goal could have easily cost us as well, but he is only one of a number of players who will be disappointed with their performance today. It's the goalkeepers lot that their mistakes often lead to goals conceeded and, as such, they take the flak.

Moore's mistake was nowhere near as glaring as the reaction to it led me to believe. He's searching for a line of sight when the shot comes in, and it'd be a really tough one to gather. There's no obvious space to parry it into and he's punished accordingly.

Blackman might have done better with his reach, but it's no gimme.

It looked like we lost sight of it and misjudged the curve to me and therefore it was much closer to his body than expected and he could do little than push it away.

Where was Zoneman Wilf for the first! Wilder was even in the dressing room when Bassett and Taylor were arguing about it at Leicester.

I can't force myself to watch the highlights as it would ruin my Saturday night!!.
I'm just so annoyed at the result and performance of the players!!. UTB

When do we address the the closing down problem 30/25 yards out? It's happened all season and no we aren't unlucky, sides put plenty over the bar as well just we give them chance after chance. It's like a fucking coconut shy.

And Enda Stevens is thick either as fuck or blind (or both).

Enda did the same for their equiliser that he did against Snodgrass in the Villa game. Allowed the winger to cut inside far too easily and have a free shot. Really poor defensive display. So frustrating as we actually scored 2 for once.

More than the defeat but manner of the defeat that was frustrating because for most part we are playing well & it comes from good place. As we know what we are capable of at our very best beating wolves & out playing cardiff the current top 2. even if defence turned up for Cardiff stayed on coach v barnsley & vice versa for forwards. But missed opportunities & the what ifs that come with that as at least we should had 7 out of last 3 instead got 2. Late goal always sting more thats 2 in 2.

I can visibly see us chucking it away. From tiny but far reaching consequential errors. With blackman coming but not committing at Brentford, Evans chance that shouldve been buried v cardiff & then cant keep hold off possesion 1st half v barnsley

Can't watch it (yet), I was there anyway, so I know what happened.

That seems to be our weak spot, Cardiff's goal, Villa's goal, Preston away. All from the same position. Probably more but they stick out in my mind.

Just a feeling, but Blackman for me is more comfortable opting to push efforts round the post (including ones that might be marginal as to whether they’re on target) because he’s generally more comfortable trying to deal with the resultant set-piece into the box.

School boy defending for Goal no: 1 - no one on the edge of the box! Why????

Goal no 2 - as my boy was/is a decent GK, I always ask about what I think was poor goal keeping. He says - and bear in mind he saw it live from the opposite end, said that Moore got a hard hand on the shot. The still image says that - he needed a soft hand to push it to the right of all the players. It might be small margins to some, but it's meat and drink to a goal keeper. Moore should have done better. OK, it went straight to a Barnsley player, but it could easily have ricocheted off anyone considering the crowded box. Moore needs to do better.

As for Goal 3 - looks like a shot to me considering the pace he hit it with and dropped straight onto Bradshaws head.

Sadly we had enough chances, just like Cardiff.

Looking at the chances we missed I'm astounded Ched can't even make the bench and Donaldson rarely gets a start.

Looking at what Ched Evans and Donaldson have done with the chances they’ve had of late, I’m astounded you’re astounded. Evans hasn’t scored in the league since 2016, and doesn’t look like remedying that anytime soon unfortunately.
