I made a similar offer on here and then repeated it via a message. We actually had a very civil exchange of views and Barney explained his reasons for not wanting to meet me face to face (not least the fact that I had referred to him as a cunt and a dickhead on here on several occasions!).

Yes, Barney needs to lighten up a bit, and involvement in other threads would be most welcome, but blimey folks, give it a rest.

The thing I find most hypocritical is people complaining that there is too much Barney in a thread that was started as a Barney Piss Take Thread. And if I've got it right, the OP was a bit of light-hearted banter (ugh, I hate that word) but suddenly others are saying, "We've found you out! Rumbled! Knew it!"

No, someone just telling it as it is. It's pathetic when those who actually post in a bold manner are permanently targeted by those who commit very little in the way of opinions and just sit back and wait for things to happen and opportunities to point score instead. It's very easy to do that, so that's what many choose to do. Those people aren't good contributors. All they do is create an environment which discourages opinions and leads to a sterile forum.

Well, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree. I think those who present opinion as fact and act like anyone who doesn't share their opinion is just too stupid to see what they see (without considering the possibility that others might know more than them) deserve to get shot down when their 'opinions' turn out to be wrong. People can offer an opinion without it being bilious or presented as fact. They can also have an opinion whilst still being prepared to wait and see rather than throwing their toys out of the pram at every managerial decision they don't like.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but some opinions become tiresome and boring
Because there's a pre ordained agenda. The agenda is to stoke up a response at any costs by any method (as already mentioned Barney is the Katie Hopkinson of this forum and I refuse to play his game).

As I'm already said I've stopped frequently this forum as often as some threads infer that S24SU is going down the pan.

I say we are bad when we are bad, and said so on several occasions

I dont offer up excuses
but I wont dismiss 1-0 wins as still not good enough
I wont use players like Murphy wanting to leave as a stick to beat the board with , the board who wanted him to stay .
Theres constructive criticism and just being obnoxious for the sake of it

Our problems need solutions, not being repeatedly aired ad infinitum , winning 1-0 and the same we should be burying these teams arguments are tossed out
If someone can show me any club thats been in the top division for 20 plus seasons or more thats been in league one and destroyed every team in every game Id accept the slagging off

but no fuckers never ever have
and 35 teams thats been in the top division , all have tried
only Charltons ever got 100 points, and not in their first season in it

Fact of the matter is there is a spectrum of positivity/negativity amongst the fan-base. Barney is at one end only ever able to see negatives, slagging the manager and players at every opportunity regardless of what they do. You are at the other end often defending the indefensible, pretending departing players won't be missed etc.

The rest of us lay somewhere in between and are able to offer both positives when we see them and negatives when we see them.

I always find it difficult to understand posters who simply cannot offer balance. The above post of yours is a prime example. Only the ridiculous barney says we should smash every team. You make reference to the fact that no other big club has come down and smashed every team but conveniently neglect the fact that no other big club has floundered here for five years before getting back up. Only ever one side of the argument with you or barney. Between you, you might make a decent poster.

was very critical after Gillingham shrewsbury Crewe
and of some individual performances
I was very critical of Collins in our win over Coventry
he was their best player

the balance should come when we do win , those who constantly moan should try, to show a modicum of support

theres plenty of the view we should be miles better than the " shit" in this division
the lack of respect shown to Burton , Bury etc is mind boggling
if your claiming Barney is a one off youve fallen off the scales of balance

Barney i believe your a blade because you know too much about where the blades have gone wrong ! No need for proof just try and accept we will never be a man utd although we may cause a shock there soon ...just think some can't accept your constructive negative posts ..keep your chin up must be tough knowing some blades don't like you..must feel like J.Forte ahahah i'm open minded and think all Blades should stick together like brothers hate to see blades fighting and arguing with each other so chin up blade!
