I don't consider myself one to get involved in the (all too common) online arguments.... trading insults via a keyboard. I don't do Facefuck or Twatter. But I do come on this forum regularly and I enjoy reading the views, comments etc of fellow fans of the club I love. Occasionally, like now, I post a message. Normally I post in a light hearted fashion (although I love the Blades I've brought up a family, worked all my life and come to learn that football is just a game...... important to me but not the be all and end all that I once felt it was).

But now Im posting a very simple request;

Barney, will you please, please, please FUCK RIGHT OFF. You are one boring, WUM. I, for one, am sick to the soles of my feet of seeing you clutter this forum with your utter anti-Sheffield United drivel. If you hate our club this much or if they bring so little joy to your life then just pack it in. I've watched United from 1st Division down to 4th and all stops in between. They've pissed me of and hurt me bad but that's all part of being a Blades fan. I still love 'em.

You are just a whinging bag of piss and wind. I genuinely believe that you're a Wendy. Nowt wrong with that (my brother and my mum are Wendies).... BUT please just FUCK OFF this forum. You're just a very boring spoiler. It was mildly amusing at first.... but it quickly wore off. Now you're just a twattish bore.

I used to view this forum every day and I try to treat people with respect, even people with opposing views.

But when I see Barneys attention seeking WUM posts it lowers the standard of the forum.
I've thought about replying with multiple posts like
""champions league in 4 years" or "who thinks we'll get Mourinho"
Or what about "how much would it cost us if we wanted to buy Leonel Messi and would the Prince pay it"

I've thought about complaining to the moderators about Barney due his his hatred of the Blades and playing WUM games but instead I've choosen to visit this forum less.

I've come so close to replying to many of Barneys threads but then I realise I'm just giving him the attention he seeks. I'm not into playing childish games. I'll leave that to the school children.

As much as I have run ins and disagreements with him there is always the ignore Button if it boils your piss that much. This place really isn't life and death.

Very true, it makes me a bit sad that somewhere in a dark room, another lonely man is smirking to himself for having derailed a perfectly good forum. I remember glancing at BM and thinking how toxic it looked because they all relished in jumping on wums rather than leaving them to it.

Barney does post some very silly things at times but I’m amazed at how much it seems to get to some people. People calling for him to be banned are over the top for me. We don’t want to be like North Korea where the only people allowed to post are those who post only positive propaganda regardless of the reality. Barney is extreme in his posts. I don’t know if he’s a blade or not. We do have a handful who are as ridiculous as he is so it’s possible. He’s harmless enough though.

No, someone just telling it as it is. It's pathetic when those who actually post in a bold manner are permanently targeted by those who commit very little in the way of opinions and just sit back and wait for things to happen and opportunities to point score instead. It's very easy to do that, so that's what many choose to do. Those people aren't good contributors. All they do is create an environment which discourages opinions and leads to a sterile forum.
