There has been a thread for Clarke, Brooks and Duffy... so why not?

Lad has been first class since joining and the fact that the shirt is probably his now after the season Freeman had last season is testament to that.

His lightning acceleration is such a great quality to have in his position.

Said it in July when he signed. This lad is mustard.

Freeman, as good as he has been, will do well to displace him now fully match fit.

Big fan of Baldock we have some depth in our squad for the first time in a while!

He was really highly rated by MK Dons and Oxford fans.
However it seems he had a bit of the Kyle Walkers about him

Great going forward but gets caught out of position defending, over reliant on his pace to get him out of trouble and can be dodgy in defence because he’s too attack minded.

However his style and strengths are perfect for playing him in a 5-3-2 formation.
He can be encouraged to get forward and if he gets caught out on the counter then he has one of the 3 central defender filling in and covering his position.

When we signed him I knew he had the potential to be a big success for us.
He was MK Dons stand out player when we played them in our 3-0 away win last season.

I'd never heard of him when we signed him. I think he's good though.

Thought he was outstanding today. First time I've really seen him play albeit only on the live TV. Hope he stays fit. Also thought Enda was excellent too. With these two plus Freeman and Lafferty we are really strong in these positions.

It’s weird when you think Lavery is probably the best orthodox right back at the club

But Wilder doesn’t play 4-4-2, he plays 3 centre and asks his full backs to play as wing backs.
Hence why he’s getting the best out of Freeman, Baldock and Stevens because they are all excellent getting up that wing.

Lavery, right back? o_O

Says volumes about the signings, both permanent and loans, that Wilder has made since he took control of the Blades.

Apart from Hussey, and Wilder didn't hang about finding someone else to fill this position, we've bought well, and at times with exceptional success.

What Wilder has done since becoming Manager is to light a fire under this club and build something special and effective. Today was exceptional for very obvious reasons, but the week leading up to this game was full of dread about who might, or might not, play. We shouldn't have been concerned, we blew the grunts off the park without needing a full strength team. Sorry to not mention Baldock, but he's just another player that underlines the quality that Wilder is bringing into the club.

Yeah looks a really good signing. Unlucky with injury in pre-season - the shirt is his to lose now even when Freeman is fit.
