Baldock to Olympiakos for 2m

I think anything around £4m is reasonable for GB. Great experience, legs and confidence to run at opposition going. Ohh and the crossing a ball.........

We have Bogle in front and the lad (cant remember his name) as cover

Bogle out till atleast October though that’s the problem
 
£3m for GB and sign the ex Palace lad....reasonably happy with that.

Hoping to sign a young lad with a history of injuries (once he's fulfilled his other commitments to other clubs (which means, see who comes up with the best offer)) with no other cover (apart from utility men) until Oct (at the earliest) I'd say was a big risk.

It depends on the deal. I've no idea how coveted he is, but if we could sign him for £5k a week for 6 months you're only looking at £125k(ish). Not a huge gamble.

Not so much a financial risk (although I expect he'll be seeking much more than £5k/week) but more a risk of not being able to cover the RWB position adequately until Bogle returns - if he either doesn't sign or gets injured, letting GB go with only Osborn as cover would be daft IMHO.

Because he's not influential enough in the final third. In our system, we require output from our wing backs and Baldock has failed to improve on this in several seasons.
Great athlete, very solid defender and a top lad. I'd rather he stayed for those reasons, but a wing back he is not.

Do Utd play with wingers? Bogle does indeed look better when going forward than defending but I don't think he's a natural forward, nor a more central midfielder which would be the only other possible positions he could be considered for in Utd's formation.

Jokanovic was clearly trying to get us into a 4-3-3 but didn't have the players available, both at Centre Half (comfortable in a 2) and up top.

Hecky has now bought two CBs that are very flexible in whether they play in a 2 or a 3. We're also after Khadra, who's an out and out winger. For me, he's gearing up to have the options.
 
I wouldn’t be that disappointed if he went tbh. He’s such a frustrating player most of the time his end product is poor and the amount off stupid free kicks he gives away is ridiculous. Obviously we need would need a replacement until Bogles back unless we could get by with Basham and Osborn filling in until then

I suspect it will be a while until you see Utd play with a back 4. Clark and Egan would most likely look exposed.

Surely his ability in that position depends upon who were playing at the time!?
Bogle and Baldock both offer different skills, Baldock defensively and Bogle offensively, giving us 2 options rather than being one dimensional.

Baldock would be a great full back in a back 4 bit as said by Morgans as a wing back jes.not good enough going forward. We have the same problem on the left
 
I would sell baldock 100% nearing 30 as a club you need to be cashing in on saleable assets if the price and time is right look at wendy they refused to sell anyone for years

Baldock is a great RB but Bogle is better and the longer we keep Baldock the less he is worth
 
I would get rid of him if that’s what they’re offering but then we don’t have a rwb til October with Bogle out. He’s pretty decent defensively but going forward he’s always been frustrating and doesn’t want to take risks. A bit like Fleck, too negative. Feel like both are living off reputations from 3/4 years ago.

We may not have a problem on the left if Lowe plays.
